We had a new roof installed. The wood under the shingles did not have to be replaced as it was in good condition. Shortly after the roof was installed there was a contractor who was up on the roof and told us that the wood above the chimney was rotted out as it was extremely soft when he walked on it. We have a 30 year warranty and I need the wood replaced and new shingles put on as this was a very bad job. You can also see a dip in the roof to the left of the chimney. We have sent emails and multiple calls and ********************* *** keeps making excuses that his father ********************* Sr. is always on vacation, or on a cruise etc. and is not available. They did the job, now they need to stand behind their work. We don't know if **************** is getting the messages or not. We have been completely ignored by their company.Customer response

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. All we are asking for is for Ocean Breeze to fix their mistakes.

We have received your complaint to the BBB. As you stated in your complaint the plywood did not need to be replaced at the time the roof was done in Jan. 2017.
We received your call to repair the chimney regarding an insurance claim due to damage in 2019.
Chimney flashing was never repaired or replaced
o A work order was emailed and never signed in April 2021.
In late 2021 an attempt to seal chimney cracks free of charge was made and we recommended a ***** complete the repairs as we do not rebuild chimneys.
To best resolve your needs, the necessary repairs must be completed by the proper professionals.
We stand by our work and warranty the scope of the roof replacement. The alleged damage to the plywood caused by the chimney is not covered under your roof warranty.
We recommended the best course of action is to find a *****. We have done all we can offer with our team. At this junction, we feel uncomfortable working with you regarding the chimney, as we cannot help with your current needs. Please search for a ***** to assist you.
