My wife and I had a Factory select home installed on property that was left to me upon my father's passing. The company who we went through for our well, charged us an extra $4800.00, after drilling, which took away the funds for our septic installation. We had to move out of our apartment due to the month to month double rent we were paying for several months, on top of a mortgage on our house with no septic tank. Currently living with friends from my service time. I spent 20 years in the Special Operations community, and never thought I would be treated this way by my own countrymen. We are in a situation that we did not impose on ourselves. We had the funds budgeted for the project, and we feel like we've been taken. I was told that he had to go an extra 100 feet, while we have neighbors on both sides of us who have been on well water for decades. One being my grandfather.
