Ordered a mini can of 100 rounds of ammo in mini-case (not boxed) from Outdoor Limited, a retail for Precision One Ammunition. The order was for new ammunition, not seconds or remanfacturered. When I received the order, I immediately noticed that one round was completely mangled (case bent over, bullet not crimped in, and no powder). Upon looking at the other rounds, I found that 18 others showed an obvious ding in the case (all in the approx same location) from what would be assumed damage during manufacturing, and a couple more that show slight ding or damage at the same approx location. I notified Outdoor Unlimited, and their representative **** emailed me back, stating this type of damage was handled by the manufacturer, Precision One Ammunition. I contacted Precision One Ammunition, and sent them pictures of the damaged rounds. Precision One's representative responded back that this damage was just "normal wear" when ordering loose bag, and not individually boxed ammo. I responded to both Outdoor Limited and Precision One, with more pictures to clearly show that this amount of damage to the cases was not "normal" and was not shipping damage. Scuffing, or small scratches would be considered and acceptable in this type of loose order, but not actual ding in the bullet cases. I have since sent two more follow up emails to both companies, to which there has been no reply.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/01/06) */ The above customer reached out to Precision One and stated what the brass was showing dings on a few of the bullets and there was one mangled bullet. After review from pictures we did agree that one bullet did get miss the inspection process and the other dings are common when shipping in bulk where they bang against one another. The ammunitions with the dings can still be shot and will perform just fine. We apologized to the customer and offered a discount on their next order. Customer was not satisfied with that offer so we sent out a replacement to his address. I had to wait for the manufacturer to send the replacements, and then time to actually inspect the replacements. I'm not talking months, but more than the initial window was provided. Yesterday, I was able to inspect and use the replacements, and am satisfied with them. I am disappointed in both the retailer and the manufacturer, in that I had to initiate a complaint with the BBB to resolve a simple matter of replacing a defective item, but am grateful that the BBB is here for just such cases.
