On 7/19/23, Emmanuel A******** of Haqq Renovations picked up my check for $6479.50 to begin work on my damaged garage. He said the work was delayed because of other projects he was working on at the time. On 9/5/23 he notified me that he would be there to complete the work on the following Saturday. As 9/23/23 I didn't hear from him so I texted him. He said he would send on of his guys to complete the work but nobody ever came. 11/21/23 I reached out to him, again. He told me he'd start the work around February due to out of town projects. He had excuses until 4/23/24 when he said he lost his work truck due to fire. On 5/22/24 I asked him to return funds because I got someone else to do the work and I've gotten nothing but excuses ever since. I reached out today, 7/3/24 at about 8am and as of 1pm I have not gotten a response. I just want my money back because he never touched the job. I feel cheated.

I am rejecting this response because: As of this morning, August 7, 2024, I have not heard from the owner. Because of his response to you all that he would be delivering payment personally, I waited to hear from him and I have made attempts to reach him. He is not responding and that leaves me unsure of his intentions. I'm left to assume he misused funds and I want my money back.
