I purchased a rug for $679 from rugs.ca on July 31, 2023, and received it in early August. However, over the past 8 months, the rug has been shedding fur excessively, leading to a significant deterioration in its appearance and causing allergic reactions for myself and others in my household. Despite efforts to mitigate this issue, the shedding has persisted, making it impossible for us to continue using the rug.Additionally, the quality of the rug does not align with the description provided on thewebsite. I expected a durable and hypoallergenic product, but unfortunately, this has not been the case.I have been attempting to communicate with your ******** service team since May to request a return and a full refund to my original payment method. However, I have been informed that They are saying "as much as I want to process a redone back to the original form o payment, the bank won't allow us since the purchase I cover 90 days." Instead, I was offered a full refund through store credit, which I do not accept.I confirmed with my bank that the 90-day period is the time frame for them to dispute the transaction, not for the business to issue a refund. It appears that rugs.ca is enforcing policies that are not aligned with ******** rights. I am requesting a full refund to my original payment method due to this unpleasant shopping and after-sale experience.I believe I am not the first ******** from ******* to encounter this issue with rugs.ca, and I likely will not be the last if defective products continue to be sold without appropriate after-sale solutions.Please let me know if you need any additional information from me.
