      We had an outside water tap not working with threads stripped on the tap - to attach a garden hose or power washer. We called a local plumber Kay Plumbing and set a date and time / 3 hour window. On the repair date the plumber did not arrive in the planned 3 hour window, and we called the office as no call from them. They said he was overdue on the last job and he arrived 45 mins later after the call. The plumber arrived a he was a nice guy and knowledgeable. After he looked at the job they quoted a super high cost of $561 to replace the outside water tap. So we declined such a ridiculous high cost quote and paid the call out fee. We did not feel good and therefore won’t use this company again……

      I have been impressed with Kay Plumbing from the first contact on the phone with their customer service. The quick response to my project, the skill of the plumber as well as his willingness to explain in detail my options and what Kay could deliver. I was so confident with the initial service that I went under their service contract...very affordable and has already paid for itself. I had no concern in calling with a current concern. Kay responded in a timely manner. The plumber had an apprentice with him as he worked. Kay has the business ideal of training and maintaining their employes. This tells me that they will continue to provide quality services. I can't give them any higher than the 5 stars...but call them and you will not be disappointed.

      I highly recommend Kay Plumbing. We have been with Kay plumbing for 12 years. The employees are excellent. They are on time, professional, friendly, courteous and extremely knowledgeable about plumbing services. They are the best in Columbia! If you want excellent service Kay Plumbing is your team! Kay plumbing reminds me of how great service was 25 years ago. You will not be disappointed. Thank you!

      6/20/2024 Mitchell and his apprentice Matthew arrived ahead of their service window and promptly got the job of flushing our tankless water heater underway. While that was ongoing they assessed options for a new spigot request we had and methodically walked us through the pros/cons of the various options. Once we decided on the most logical option, they proceeded with working up a cost estimate. Being recent transplants to SC, we are glad we were able to locate the professional services of Kay Plumbing. 6/26/2024: We decided to go ahead with the option to add a spigot on the side of our house based on Mitchell’s assessment. Mitchell showed up on time and promptly went to work by accessing the water line in the outside wall of our master closet. He was very conscientious and was done within the time estimated including the clean-up in our closet. We strongly recommend Kay Plumbing for all your plumbing needs.

      Do not trust this company. I had a commode that was not flushing without usling a plunger. I called Kay and was told I needed a $634 repair. I got a second opinion and the plumber showed me the tubing that had been pulled out and an flapper type object that had been placed in the tank of toilet. He performed the same procedure Kay said would not work and my toilet has been flushing fine. I immediately cancelled my service contract and requested refund of monies I had paid for service which they refused. Just be careful if you use this company.

      I was swindled by Kay Plumbing Heating & Cooling. I trust Key Plumbing for years but on Mar. 10, 2024 my neighbor notified me that there were a constant stream of water exiting out of the water heater PVC. I contacted Kay Plumbing Heating & Cooling and explained I need a new valve on my water heater and that I had a warranty on the unit; they sent out "Matt". Matt arrived at my house to start work on the replacement of damaged water valve on the water heater. I explained to Matt that I would be inside of my home with my Home Health Nurse if he should need me. After a while Matt knocked on my door and walked in. He told me he was finished and he told me how much the cost was. Matt did not show me the service worksheet at this time. I asked him what method of payments that Kay Plumbing H&C take, he proceed to explain the regular method such as debit, credit cards, cash and a 70 day agreement to pay. I said I was interested in the 70 days payment plan and he called the company and I signed the 70 day Payment Agreement form. After we got this out of the way, he proceeded tell me that he put the new water heater valve on and replaced the main water value. I did not request this to be done because I knew there was nothing wrong with the main value. I contact Kay Plumbing concerning what was done and that I did not request this. Matter of fact it's document what the service was for - a "water heater value" and nothing else. Kay Plumbing stated they would get back with me once they spoke to Matt concerning the unauthorized replacement of the main water valve, but they never did nor a did they send the a Updated corrected statement for the service I requested - "Water Heater Valve". I hope someone with the BBB can help me resolve this situation out. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide me this request for help. Sincerely, Ramona Y***

      It is standard procedure for our company to obtain approval for each job before our technicians perform any work. We received your approval to begin work at the price you were billed for. That approval has been confirmed by the signature you provided onsite with the technician (please see the attached form for the signature page). We also have our technicians get a signature when they have completed work. You provided a signature that the work was completed. You requested a payment agreement; we only offer a 30-day term agreement for payments. That form is attached below with your signature agreeing to the 30-day terms. The work was completed on March 10, 2024, the bill was due on April 10, 2024. As of May 14, 2024, payment has not been received and you have now incurred late fees.
