* Mr. C******* I Minister ***. ****** and my wife **** *. ****** desire to file a complaint against Melfi Plumbing LLC. of Summerville, SC for work that they should have done, but didn't complete the job on October 30, 2023. * I **** ****** spoke to Nick the previous plumber that came over to look over things and see where the water was coming from a drainage under the bath tub. * He said to us that he could fixed it the ***e day and then he mention to the affect about removing the bathtub as my memory served me correctly. He stated replacing the bath tub, and installing a shower would be easier to get to drainage under the bathtub.....taken care. * I ask Nick how much would it cost to replace bathtub with a shower he said about $3,500 and I said that's fine. Nick stated he would put in the order, I asked him would a shower door come with it and he said no. I though the shower 'bars' would be installed in the shower, because he said that everything would be complete. * On the following week on 10-23-2023 two young males came and removed the old bathtub and installed the news shower, and fixed the drainage (water leak area), they had limited knowledge about what they were doing, I asked one of the males about the Nick, he said that he was no longer with the company...if, memory serves me correctly? * We thought...that was very strange--we begin to immediately wonder about the company as they continue to process the work, after they had finished, we came to the conclusion that its a question of "Integrity" on the behave of the company, "Sweet....Jesus." * The two males had no idea about what they were doing, they were very young indeed, having said that, the lack of experience was obvious, there are additional 'holds...in the walls' which could have been avoided, Dustin the supervisor who replaced Nick, we were told that he had left the company within a week after the job was completed.(Mercy Jesus). * Minister ***. ****** & Wife **** *. ******Business response

Here at Melfi Plumbing we want everyone to have a good experience.Melfi Plumbing attempts to make any issue with any job or customer right. Again, if it's a deserving issue. Melfi Plumbing offered Mr./Mrs. ****** a 50% rate from our standard pricing to Demo the new shower, install proper backing in walls, re-install shower and install new grab bars. Due to the fact that grab bars were not specified in the quote or the material/labor pricing. Melfi Plumbing thought this was a nice gesture due to the situation. Melfi Plumbing does not recall a verbal request for this, nor does it appear in scope of work in quote. Melfi Plumbing offered this as a zero-profit job. This was to make customer happy/Not make money. Melfi Plumbing will stand by our word and work and redo entire job for cost of job. Customer will have to sign off and agree to this hugely discounted rate we are given. But customer refuses and wants 100% free. We think this is fair compromise since customer can't show us where we are wrong here, this is why we are offering this solution. This was apparently a verbal wish or thought.
