7/9/2020 $7000.00 Drake H*****-owner of Affordable Heating & Air installed a new 3 ton Rheem 14 seer coil and outdoor unit. The system stopped working right away and Mr. H***** stated that my husband and I needed another part which costed $2400.00. The system worked good for about 3 months but then the heat would stop working. The heat and air have not been working right since January 15, 2022. The air is still not on as of 8/5/2022. Mr. H***** stopped answering my phone calls and my texts. I also have a 10 year warranty.Business response

I dispute the claim filed. The issues with Mrs. ******** system was not the result of my workmanship or lack of service. I requested assistance from the HVAC distributor after numerous attempts to resolve the issue. A representative from the tech support team who specialized in Rheem products came to Mrs. ******** home and completed a diagnostic assessment. The results of that assessment is below:

Attached are the photos from my resent site visit on Friday August 12, 2022, in Spartanburg, S.C.
It was my understanding that there was a few blower motors and a control board replaced under warranty for the homeowner. The unit was experiencing additional issues with the blower motor cutting off in the middle of a A/C cycle and causing the Evaporator coil to freeze up. This was the reason for my site visit.
The findings of my visit were there was a freshwater line leaking over the unit under the house. The water coming for the leaking water pipe was seeping into the unit causing moisture to build up in the unit.
By looking at the control board that was replace under warranty (photo 1) there are indicators of moisture on the control board (green around some of the resistors and relays). Also, moisture in the blower motor module causing the blower motor from operation correctly.
Someone had placed a plastic sheet to cover the unit from water leaking into the unit, also there were plumbers on site the day of my visit to repair the water leak. Once the water leak is resolved, the unit should dry out and operate normally.

I purchased a HVAC unit and a split unit on 03/09/2017 and a few months later I had to call Drake back because it was making a loud noice. He came out and checked it and said he had to order something for it, well long story sor I continued to call him and meanwhile months passed and the split unit started making a loud noise and I still to this day he hasn’t come. I had a five year warranty on the split unit and a ten year on the big unit. I continue to call but at the end of 2021 I called another Heating and Air company (*****) and the guy came out and told me that the motor in both needs to be replaced and I told them I had a warranty so they told me that the company that put the units in had to call about the warranty. I been calling Drake and texting him since January 21,2022 at first he kept saying he was coming but never did and the last few months every time I call he let a paid answering service answer I leave a message with a live person but he never calls back. I been having different people call and put me on 3way and now he stopped answering that as well. My last attempt to call I called off my iPad he answered but when he heard my voice he hung up and when I tried calling back he sent me to the paid answering service again, my warranty on the split unit has expired. I paid Drake 9050.00 for both units and labor. Drake told me he called in and got the parts for both units and when he never come to fix them so I had told him to just get the parts to me and I would get someone to fix it. So as of today 05/17/2022 Drake has yet to return my calls or text or showed up to fix them.I want my units fixed he didn’t have to run behind me for his money for the units or labor and I shouldn’t have to run behind him to fix my units. I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me with this situation.
