Bought a ford **** and less than 45 days of purchase the vehicle broke down and I have been advised it needs a new engine!!!!! I never even got the car license plates before it was broke down and useless!!!!Business response

On October 1st I met with Sean ****** to test drive a 2006 **************** at I believe 8:45AM. We took the vehicle out for a drive and Sean specified he liked the radio off so we could listen for any unusual sounds from the motor or the car itself. We made sure there weren't any check engine lights or anything lit up on the dashboard. We drove the car to my husbands shop so he could see the car and drive it. They took the car out and again no lights coming up on the dashboard everything was good. If lights would have come up we wouldn't have purchased the car. Sean ****** and I drove the car back to the McKie dealership and everything on the car was still good. No check engine lights or any lights were lit up on the vehicles dashboard. I decided to go ahead with the purchase. I wrote a check for $********. I was told I needed to wait for approximately 7-10 business days since they still needed to clean it and change the oil, which was appreciated. I received a phone call I believe it was Tuesday October 4 around I believe 4:00PM stating the car was ready to be picked up. My daughter Christina and her boyfriend Caleb went with me to pick up the car. As soon as they drove the car off the lot heading to my house the AWD Disable and Anti Lock lights lit up on the dashboard. I called Sean ****** at the dealership immediatley and asked him what happened with the car between Saturday October 1st and Tuesday October 4 and he replied nothing happened it was driven down to where they detail it and back about 5 mile round trip. I explained what happened and that those lights weren't on when we test drove it and now all of a sudden they are on. He said well it is an older vehicle. Yes it is however there wasn't a problem when I purchased it and after 4 days of them having it now there's a problem. It didn't have that problem the day we drove it or when my husband and Sean drove it.Business response
