I also received a letter from them informing me that I was being declined on a loan that I did not apply for. This is very disturbing. I suspect it to be either phishing or an attempt to solicit business by getting me to call them. Either was, this is definitely not a company I want to do business with. Will be checking my credit reports to make sure they aren’t actually hitting there.

Bought a prepaid card from dollar general, that pathward venture capital is listed in their lengthy contract. Reddit is FULL of terrible reviews of this particular card (spendwell). With MOST complaints being that they can’t register the card and therefore can’t use the card except in certain retail stores. My issue is that my transactions are placed on hold for 3-8 business days….had this card for 2+ years and now all of a sudden transactions are being placed on hold almost every single time I make one. The kicker is that they blame the business I’m paying online smh ?????but here’s the thing..I’ve paid those same companies in the past and the transactions automatically went thru!! And seems like their only excuse on here is mass spam reviews with a number that doesn’t work smh SCAMMERS!!

Looks like a scam. Sent a certified letter. Asks for SSN and two proofs of ID to get a refund on a gift card. But they don’t identify where the gift card is from or how much money is on the gift card. And they say if I don’t respond immediately they will send the funds to the state. I wouldn’t give this company the time of day. This looks like a total scam. I’ll let them send the “money” to the state and then ask the state for the money.

I recived a letter saying I had a prepaid card that I did not use and then they want my ID, Social secuirty number, birthdate, email all in a letter as well as two government issured forms of ID. not sure I would trust these people with all my idenity information

I received a letter telling me that I was denied a line of credit from this company but I have never heard of this company and I did not apply for a line of credit with them. I received an email only and I suspect it's possibly a phishing scam. Any help would be appreciated.

I bought a prepaid gift card to use online to keep my debit card safe from being compromised as it has been very often over the past year. This card has been rejected for use on the popular online payment sites so I have not been able to use the $100 that I paid for the cruddy card and I am disabled and have a difficult time going places in person to purchase necessities.. Total waste of money, don't purchase any of their cards unless you're positive that it will work for what you need them for!

This was a decent company to maintain a Check Card through back in 2011 when I was first set up with my account, and I have been happy with it for a long time. This service has gone so downhill in the last couple years that I am at my final straw. It started when their app was updated about six months to a year ago, and hasn't worked right since. The balance is rarely right, the app glitches out about half the time, and no amount of star reviews on the Google Play store, direct complaints, etc. have yielded a fixed result. It's a "known problem" that they are always working on. Well, today was the final straw. The outage happened with CrowdStrike, and no one knew how much it affected until it was too late. Turns out one of the items affected was a POS system used at my work, which I used not knowing that it was affected. My account was charged $3.10 consistently afterward, and I am not $162 in the hole. That was the grocery money I needed for my kids. I called the bank immediately, explained what happened, how it happened, and the circumstances. I was told it'd take 7 business days to reverse. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was put on hold and then told to call back in 30 minutes because the manager was busy, instead of just being told it'd be a while and left on hold in a que. I've had issues with this particular service for the last few years, and that was it. That is what will send me to seek out another bank I know would try to make matters right. I'm done. On May 30, 2024 Metabank allowed my entire social security check $1,025.00 and my part-time job $320.34 were both stolen from bank account by MetaPay without my authorization. I don't even know how this happened, however, my bank should have caught, when 98 times money was begun to be taken! I have been a faithful customer with Metabank for many years and have never had anything to happen like this before! I filed a police report with North Patrol District 6, on May 30, 2024 here in St. Louis, Missouri and have written to you guys and called numerous times, still with my money, not returned to me. I called Metabank on June 10. 2024 around 12:00 PM, to check on dispute and was told my account is now closed and they're still disputing and a check would be mailed to me when come to some resolution. I am a senior, have not been able to eat, pay my house note, nor other bills because this has happened to my money? I please pray that my money is returned to me as soon as possible and patiently await hearing from your people. I have yet to be called, reassuring me this matter would be handled by Metabank and am very sad and angry how your people handle other people's money ?? ?? I look forward to hearing from you telling me my money will be returned to me, and regretfully feel sorry how you have no regards or compassion to what has happened to me and my monies in your Metabank! Thank you ?? ?? ?? ?? P.S. It scares me a whole lot, Metabank vs MetaPay and I did not give my card to anyone and never do let it out of my hands. Is it a coincidence that both begin with Meta? How in the world can a person get your information and get away with withdrawals this many times without my bank protecting my monies. Nobody called me nor did you catch this happening to me, when you are FDIC protected. Please help me and stop ignoring me!
