Sent my daughter here to fix a chip in her windshield. Instead of fixing it, they broke it when they drilled into it (By the way, you DON'T need to drill into such a small chip, it can simply be filled) But nonetheless, they broke the entire windshield. When they broke it, they only offered my daughter $** off a full replacement, which she didn't have. They also didn't provide her with an invoice for anything. When we tried calling later to argue it, they just keep stating that we need an invoice for them to do anything, and refused to take any responsibility for the damage they caused.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2023/01/30) */ It is unfortunate that Mr ********* daughters rock chip repair failed. Rock chips are actually broken glass on a windshield, there is no guarantee. The front counter has a posted sheet on no guarantee policy on rock chip repairs, our website as well has a listed no guarantee statement. Customers are told when we do chips there is no guarantee. His daughter did not receive an invoice as we didnt charge her the $***** for it as it cracked. We gave her a quote less $***** for a replacement as a gesture of good will if she chose to replace it. I do NOT accept this response because now the business is LYING and ATTEMPTING TO BE DECEPTIVE regarding their "policy." A quick HTML inspection of their website shows that the services page was updated with this "policy" 7 days AFTER I filed the complaint. Through their negligence and incompetence, they broke the windshield on my daughters car, and I EXPECT that it be replaced AT THEIR COST. Business Response /* (4000, 13, 2023/02/03) */ Unfortunately sir, there is no guarantee on a chip repair. I know of no glass company that would guarantee a rock chip. Its unheard of. If all rock chips were 100 percent guaranteed ,and covered w a free windshield if they break, there would be too much liability to even attempt to repair them. I did offer $***** coupon for her misfortune. We are working with broken glass to start with, there is always a chance on breakage, as that was the reason she came in to start with. It was due to a broken w/s. A rock chip. I have no intention on replacing your w/s at "no cost to you". As someone who works in the collision industry and has worked with hundreds of glass companies that DO guarantee their work, I guess because "you" haven't heard of any of them means they don't exist, right? Nevertheless, your staff further broke the glass, are being deceptive with policy as evidenced by the change-log on your website. But I guess this issue will remain unresolved since you would rather "be right" than "do the right thing"
