      I met with ****** ****, the "owner/operator" of ABC Roofing & Guttering Co., on June 27th where he provided a rough estimate to repair gutters at our building located at 3217 Hanover Rd in Johnson City, TN. ****** asked for a **** deposit in order for him to order the special hangers and parts needed to do the job. We sent him a check that was cashed on 7/17. Since then, ****** has not answered a single of my dozens of calls trying to follow up regarding the job. The only correspondence I have received since 7/17 was on 8/17 when he sent a text stating "ill be honest I had forgot about the hangers it had been so long since I had heard from them. But let me check again to see if they are in. I will let you know later in the day." Since then there has been no response to dozens of phone calls and text messages. At this point we need a refund on the **** since we had to find someone else to complete the job.

      FAULTY INSTALLATION AND INCOMPLETE JOB: I contracted Robert Tapp in the fall of 2022 to replace all gutters on my newly roofed house and install leaf barriers. He "completed the work" in my absence. He returned in May, 2023 when my initial inspection revealed the gutters were not draining properly. He promised to return within 2 weeks. 2 months later, he has not returned. I cannot reach him by phone. Another company came and fixed the drainage problem for ***** and is coming back to finish installing the leaf barriers which were not completed originally,

      Job date: October 20, 2022 Business was paid ****** ***** via check made out to ****** **** and ****** cash, no receipt. ABC was to regutter whole house and the garage. They were to include flashing on all roof lines above new gutters. Also clear any corrugated pipes that the gutters dumped water into carrying water away from the house. Finally, add two new downspouts where there were none before. Did not complete flashing. (I believe they assume home owner will not check their work by going on roof; I did). Flashing is blowing off of roof due to improper install. First piece came off in May 2023. Verbal two year warranty. They did not clear any receiving pipes. Both business owner and son, (worker) said this has been done. Knew I could not tell by looking. Water dumps at corner of the house through seams. The home owner does not know if gutters work until they are home during larger rain event. It took time to realize that some gutters were not working correctly. I work a lot and was not home during daylight rain event hours for quite a while after install as this was now wintertime. Two other issues: rain falling on front porch due to improper pitch of front gutter and one piece reattaching from rear of house. Came back once and fixed the two above issues, one correctly. Porch issue is better, but still not 100%. That took months. They are Horrible with time lines. I have many, many texts where they say they are coming over and do not show. I leave work early to accommodate them because I now do not want them on my property unattended. They have cost me income and/or changing work hours, many, many times. They do not answer their phone. They no longer communicate. I have ***** worth of gutters that are mostly useless. Gutter folks want to 'do their own work' and are reluctant to fix someone else's botched job. I am stuck. This is time sensitive as it involves my home and water damage.

      We paid them $2,438.00 to do half our gutters in January which they did and they were to return to hang the other half when front porch completed - which was around May 24th. We paid them for whole job and now he promises to come and never shows snd does not answer or return calls. Our modular home saleswoman has called him snd he told her he would show up at least 10 times with no show snd no phone call! We are out $1219.00. I would prefer he pay back that money or finish the job properly. My foundation is compromised snd washing dirt away from my house.

      Consumer Response /* (2000, 13, 2022/07/26) */ To BBB, The company I issued a complaint against, ABC gutters and roof in Johnson City Tennessee has finally come and put my gutters on and they forgot to put the gutter guards on but after a week they finally came back and did that so we have everything done to satisfaction finally!. It took a lot of threats of taking action and repeated failures to show upHowever before they made it right. Just glad we didn't have to take legal action. Sincerely ****** ********

      I ***** ****** contacted Mr ****** **** on several occasions by phone and at his business. Mr **** said he was going to fix the problem of the fascia not being completely covered and some of the gutter hangers not being correctly installed. The issue has caused my front yard being soaked from improper installation of the gutters. Installing gutters this way can cause severe damage to the roof structure,foundation and land

      We paid 1500 for a 2ft sq patch that was promises to work or they would be back out to fix it. Very next rain it leaked worse. After dozens of calls and emails with no response from the owner here we are. We just want what we paid for.
