On June 25, 2024 at 8:30 am i had work done at ProCare Tire Shop. The work that was done was Change of front and rear differential oil, a long with the engine oil and tire rotation. The failure occurred one week later on July 2nd. on I-81 speed at the time was set on cruise control at 70mph. The wheels locked up temporarily and there was a loud popping noise from the front. it was towed to Wallace Imports of Bristol. The next day, July 3rd the service consultant and technician walked me back and showed me the amount of oil they got out of the front diff was maybe 3oz with metal shavings in bottom of cup. front diff will need to be replaced a long with the cvt transmission (since it is made all in one unit) I am requesting that ProCare Tire Shop reimburse me for the work that Wallace Imports of Bristol had to do on my vehicle. I am also requesting reimbursement of the towing bill, hotel expenses, and car rental expense from Enterprise. I would also like to be reimbursed for the service they did on my front differential at ProCare.Business response

Am I really expected to believe that this car was driven 427 miles with only 2 ounces of fluid in the front differential stated by the customer after the service was done. If that was the case the car would not have made it 5 miles before a failure would have occurred. All service on this vehicle was done as per the manual all fluids where checked after test drive. The transmission failed on the vehicle, just because we where the last shop to do any service on this car does not mean i am responsible for your transmission failing.Business response

I stand by my original position on this matter, service work was done correctly and all fluids and wheel torque checked after test drive.Customer response

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because: you said you filled and checked differential fluid with no leaks, so did Wallace Subaru and they found no leaks when it was towed in to their dealership so it couldn’t have just disappeared.
Sincerely,
