We had all of our company vehicles on a fleet account with Express Oil. On 08/22/2023, we had our brakes and rotars replaced on one of our vehicles. On 10/31/2023, the driver of that vehicle was on a hill waiting at a stop sign and his brakes went out. He was pumping the brakes trying to get them to work and it did not stop the car. It rolled into the car behind him causing bumper damage. When he pulled off the hill, he was able to get the brakes to engage again. He immediately took the vehicle back to Express Oil for inspection. As they pulled the tire off to look at the brakes, our employee was filming the interaction to show our owner. The Express Oil employee stated that someone had either put the brake pads on wrong, or they had used the wrong ones previously which is what caused the problem. Our owner then tried to get in touch with the manager ****** at their Bearden location to discuss this issue with him. We ended up having to pay out ******** to the woman whose car we hit to fix her bumper. We had all of the estimates, statements by all parties, pictures of the damage, and even another company's assessment of the brakes after taking it for a second opinion compiled into a drive. Our owner then sent it over to ****** for resolution. In the end, the district manager Jordan looked at all the evidence we had compiled and still did not want to accept any responsibility. He called our owner and said his guys on the video were young and just misspoke. We are now out the invoice they then charged us for ******* in order to fix the brakes again, the ******** we had to pay for the bumper, and ******* for our new place Big O Tires to fix all the things the Express Oil had claimed to have done but had not. We would love to get this resolved and see them make this right. We had used them for about 5 years before this and put a lot of money into their company for them to not make this right.
