      This site is a scam…. I ordered a commercial fridge and was trying to get shipping information only to have customer service hang up on me 3 times. I was finally put through to someone who told me that he 'couldn't hear me' and to call back as their phones were not working. I should have checked the legitimacy of this website. I will be doing a chargeback today as they had no intention on ever sending me anything and have already charged my credit card over 2k.

Laurie.  I apologize that you were unable to get through to speak with our customer care team.  I do show that your order for a two door Motak unit placed with our sales team shipped from our facility on 11/22/24 via XPO Logistics tracking **********  The transit time from our facility in TN to you in FL is between 2-3 business days.  If you have already filed a chargeback, you can either call your financial institution to reverse it so that delivery can be made or you can let it stand and we will return the shipment to our facility.  I have requested the carrier to place this shipment on hold until we get direction on the path your would like to take.  You may email be back directly at **************** with instructions on how you would like to proceed and I am happy to asssit.

      Katoms website wasn’t working so I tried multiple cards. I wasn’t able to place the order because the site is so buggy. Weeks later I got multiple deliveries for the same item and realized I was charged multiple times. They must have pushed the order through the backend without asking or informing me. I never got an order confirmation. They confirmed over the phone that it was their mistake but Now they refuse to take the duplicate order back without a 25% restocking fee.

      50/50 chance when you order from KaTom u get the wrong item or partial item. Quality Assurance is horrible.

      I placed an order with this company and they sent me the a part that was not as pictured on their website. The part they sent me did not fit on my commercial grade mixer. They are charging a 35% restocking fee to return the incorrect item that they sent to me.

      Good afternoon Jonathan!  I am happy to assist with any warranty questions you may have.  I see that your most recent order was from 3/1/23 for a Motak single door refrigerator.  KaTom can facilitate communication with the manufacturer's technical service department.  This unit does have a two year parts and labor warranty and a five year compressor warranty so you should still be covered.

      This company is terrible! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! They are dishonest and kept committing to things and then reneging on them. I purchased a double stack of Blodgett convection ovens from them and they came with concealed damage. They were going to repair the fan, but once they were installed, it was clear there were many issues with the units and for 2 months we were making plans with Katom to return them. Then, after 2 months, they informed me they could not return them or pay for the repairs because I installed them. Then I similar issues with buying smaller equipment from them. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS

      They keep hounding you with emails and you call and send messages to delete your email address and they seem to keep coming. I want the solicitation to STOP

      Good morning!  Unfortunately, our customer care team can not update your account to discontinue emails which is why you have had no resolution up to this point.  There are two options and I would suggest that we do both to make sure that you are not burdened with any further email correspondence.  Please email me at help@katom.com with your name and the phone number you would have used during account creation so that I can location your account in our system.  I will send your information to our web team and ask that they remove you from the mailing list.  I ask that you also go to the last email that you received from us and scroll to the bottom of the email.  There is an unsubscribe button at the bottom of the email.  Follow the prompts to unsubscribe from our mailer.  

      I believe with these two actions we can ensure that you receive no further correspondence.

      I ordered a freezer from this restaurant supply company. They sent me the wrong freezer, entirely their mistake. The spec sheet of what I was quoted was entirely different than what actually showed up. They acknowledged their mistake when I sent a photo to Coby, my sales rep. Now they are insisting that I pay a 25% restocking fee for their mistake. They also want me to pay shipping and handing for the freezer to be sent back to their warehouse. The cost of the freezer is $2970.01 and the h are trying to pin me with approximately $1500 in fees and shipping, in spite of acknowledging that they sent the wrong freezer. This is fraudulent and a very slippery way to do business.

      On Feb 3, 2023, I ordered 12 sets of Victorinox Serrated wood handled steak knife sets for a customer. Apparently, what looked like the serrated ones were straight edge. Katom shipped 3 of the 12 sets, all straight edged and when I received them I called, I told the person on the phone that I needed the backordered ones checked and to cancel them if they were not serrated. She checked and assured me they were serrated. When the rest of the order arrived, they were all straight edged. I contacted returns. Mikaela G responded with the info that the part number ordered was the straight edge spear point knives. I was given a return authorization and was informed there would be a 25% restocking fee. I called sales and talked to Sarah H on 3/15. I told her I would not return the knives while losing 25%, and would sell them on eBay, and buy the serrated knives elsewhere. We agreed to have me buy the serrated knives from Katom, and that I would be charged a 10% restocking fee after placing the order and return of original knives was received by Katom. I placed the order on the same day, and shipped the return in 2 shipments to Katom on 3/16/2023. I received a refund of $319.97 on 3/21. I received the final refund of $959.92 on 4/10/2023. Total refunded was $1279.89. The sale was for $1687.44. The 10% restocking charge would have been $168.70. The restocking fee charged was $407.55, the 25%. I called many times, and was told that the difference ($238.81) would be refunded. It never was. I talked to Mikaela a few times during this process, and she verified the sales dept agreed to 10% restocking charge to get the last sale. I have never received the $238.81 owed me. My experience with Katom and their customer service is the, worst I have had with any Vendor in my life. I feel I was misled and iput off through the whole process. At this point I would tell anyone to avoid dealing with them for any reason. Use another vendor or do without the product. ******* * ** ******* **
