      I purchased a comforter as a Christmas present for my son back in December from Bed Bath and Beyond. I paid $156.27, order #*********. The comforter was washed once as instructed. I kept finding polyester fluff filling all over my son's room. I thought my dog shredded one of his stuffed animals or something. We cleaned it up and it kept reappearing. I just washed it a 2nd time and realized the seams were coming apart and all the stuffing was this comforter's filling coming out. I tried to contact Bed Bath and Beyond and they claim it's outside their return window and have no responsibility. I contacted Coma Inducer and they also claim no responsibility because I did not purchase it from their website. I think Coma Inducer needs to be held accountable to their quality standards on their products. It should be replaced with the same or similar item or my money refunded so I can purchase a replacement. Thank you.

      Hello,

      We are sorry to hear that this customer is unhappy with their order and with our policies. As this order was placed on a third party site, it would have to follow their rules and policies. As Bed Bath and Beyond stated that they could not assist with the order, we are not obligated to further assist. Although we would normally follow the determination of the third party site the order was placed on, we can occasionally assist with issues within a certain time frame. As this order was shipped on December 14th, 2023 and delivered on December 16th, 2023, it had already been in the customer's possession for around 7 and a half months when we were first contacted, and would unfortunately be over our time frame in which we can normally assist a customer.

      Please let us know if there is anything else you would need from us in regards to this issue.

      I am rejecting this response because: this response is absurd.  It doesn't matter who sold the product.  It was still their product and no comforter should fall apart after only 5mths and one washing.  I could understand if I washed it excessively or failed to follow its instructions.  This does not happen with a quality product regardless of where it was purchased.  That should not be Bed Bath and Beyond's fault their product was poor quality and workmanship.  If they will not honor their products they should not sell them on 3rd party sites.

      Like I said, I will accept either a refund or replacement with the same or similar product.

      Hello,

      Once again, we are sorry to hear of the customer's displeasure in our offer. As we had mentioned in our last message, although we would normally follow the determination of the third party site the order was placed on, we can occasionally assist with issues within a certain time frame. As this order was shipped on December 14th, 2023 and delivered on December 16th, 2023, it had already been in the customer's possession for around 7 and a half months when we were first contacted, and would unfortunately be over our time frame in which we can normally assist a customer.

      Due to this, the major issue is not the fact of where it was ordered, but the time frame between when the order was delivered and when we were notified of any issue, which was almost 8 months.

      Per our company policies, we would not be able to assist with a replacement or a refund for this order.

      Since when do comforters only last 7 months after only one wash? And what attempt did this business make to try to rectify the situation? The business said was it's not their responsibility to back their product. Their product came with washing instructions which implies it was safe to wash, which it clearly was unable to withstand. If their products cannot withstand a washing machine then they should not advertise as machine washable nor include washing instructions. 

      it is a shame the BBB is allowing this type of refusal by a company to honor their product.
