      Accidental double billing of registration fee - $40 billed twice. Customer and business disagree on fault - after numerous exchanges, NSRA still refuses to adjust the double-registration fee. Customer has been treated rudely on the telephone and has received the same basic explanation - that business could not possibly have been at fault (not necessarily true) and that because of the business' refund policy (no refunds after May 12th), no "refund" is possible. Customer did not seek a "refund" per se, but simply did not want to be billed twice for the same exact registration fee. Customer used the NRSA's online registration process and therefore supplied credit card information; NSRA put through the same charge twice for the same registration of the same car-show event. NSRA justifies not adjusting the double-fee by noting that other persons register twice - an explanation that is irrelevant and makes absolutely no sense. Despite NSRA's denials that they do not "retain" credit card information, the registrations are still processed by hand - as evidenced by the "doctored" registration form that NSRA printed out at their own headquarters. Clearly, an error was made here by someone - regardless of fault, NSRA could have simply made a customer accommodation. The no-refund date (May 12th) and the date of the second erroneous registration are the same - May 12th - customer could not possibly have known that the second registration went through on the same day on which "refunds" no longer are allowed. In short - something is "fishy" here - the point being, the business - a million-dollar-grossing business - could have simply made an accommodation for a long-time member. Instead, NSRA insists on keeping the extra $40, banking on stonewalling customer behind the "no refunds after May 12th" policy. Customer most recently was told by event organizer to "Give it up!" Unprofessional and rude.
