I paid a deposit for $595.00 on October 3, 2022 to have 2 barn doors made and installed in my home. The owner, *****************, has made several promises to install the doors however he has failed to show up, complete any work, or prove that he has actually made the doors. I have sent many texts, tried confirming installation with an email, and my husband has left several messages only to be met with additional delays and excuses. I have requested a refund but the owner has not delivered the product or my money back.

On June 9th I contracted with Woodland Cove ** to build and install barn pantry doors. *** said it would take 4 weeks to build (so 7/8). Pd $300 deposit. On 7/7, (1 day before delivery) I asked to delay the delivery till 8/8. On 7/13, I contracted with Woodland Cove ** to build 3 additional doors. One was urgent, the other two could wait the 4 weeks. *** said the urgent door could be completed in 10 days, two weeks tops. I paid my additional $850 deposit. At this point I'm into this guy *******! I emailed Myk 7/27 to check on doors, no response. 7/28, no response. 7/29 FB messaged. He responded with he had COVID but would be back in the office on 8/2 and would "check on it". 8/3 emailed to check on doors, no response. 8/6 emailed, no response. 8/9 emailed again, *** responded, he got covid on the 28th but would be back in the office on the 10th to check on it. Ok, that's what you said on 7/29! 8/10 no update received. 8/11 emailed, no response. 8/12 emailed again, he responded he would deliver all the doors on 8/22 (Barn doors were promised 8/8, urgent door promised on 7/23 (before supposed covid), additional doors promised on 8/13). At 3:00 on 8/22 I asked Myk his ETA and asked for a refund if not delivered. He responded with they found "his son's grandfather unresponsive on the floor" but he would bring the doors on 8/24. NOPE, no show again, no communication. I emailed 8/25, he replied that he would get the door delivered on 8/29 or refund my money. NOPE, no show, no refund. I emailed and asked if I could just drive to ********* to pick up the doors. No response. I've emailed at least 3 other times since. As of today (8/31), I have no doors and no refund. I've contacted Davidson **unty; they do not show a business license for ********************** and his business address is a storage room in a storage facility. I need a refund of *********** and NO I would never recommend this company to anyone.

On 5/25/2022, I signed a contract for custom doors in the amount of 800.00 with 400.00 as a down payment. A Venmo payment was sent with problems, then refunded. A cash app payment was then sent and confirmed as paid. Pictures of exactly what I wanted was taken from Woodland's marketplace site and sent via email as was drawings and pictures from my home. These were also verified and confirmed by ******* ****** Woodland Cove, that this could be done at same price with no problem. On 6/13, I was told the doors should be good to go in a few days. I received no more communication even after several attempts until 6/28 I received an email from Mr. ***** that he had been in a car accident and had been recovering. Plans for delivery of the doors were made for 7/5 at 1 PM. At 10 AM that day, I confirmed our appointment and received an email from Mr. ***** that he did not have me on his schedule for that day so another appointment was made for Thursday, 7/7 at 1 PM. On 7/7, at 12:41, I received an email from Mr. ***** stating he was running behind and wanted to move our appt back to 3ish. I texted him and it was decided to move the appt to the following day 7/8 . Pictures of the doors were sent and they looked very simple, and not custom. At first I said I could live with them but this bothered me because they did NOT look like $800 doors. I sent him my original pictures and explained to him that I could not accept the doors in the pictures. On 7/11, Mr. ***** emailed me and said there was some confusion on their part with the contract and he would work on the next few days and "add the boards to match the design". On 7/.19, I received a text stating "how does you schedule look next week?" I have answered via text, I've emailed, and made phone calls. No answers to anything and his voicemail is full. I have also re-messaged him on Facebook Marketplace. I either want my custom doors, looking as agreed or my $400 refunded.

Consumer Response /* (2010, 9, 2022/08/15) */ I sent an email response to the BBB on 08/04/2022 that my situation with Woodland Cove had been resolved on that day and wanted to close my case. You can close this case even though I would not recommend him to anyone. Thank you.
