We investigated this complaint and found the following: Ms. Cavazos called our Customer Care Center on May 21, 2024, inquiring about her account. During the call, the customer service representative attempted to assist Ms. Cavazos with signing into her online banking. The representative sent Ms. Cavazos her login id and waited while she attempted to login. The representative offered to reset Ms. Cavazos password, but she declined. Ms. Cavazos told the representative she would try to login at a later time.Review from Allen B

Many of the people here are rude, (Clyde TX Branch) they act as if they are better than you. If you receive a US government check, this is defiantly not the bank to put your money in! They are a really small bank and the security measures they employ are very intrusive and overbearing. They block transactions often and place a temporary lock on your debit card. You to have to call to verify, or they will call you. If you travel out of town or purchase with PayPal or other vendors it will be blocked. I will be closing my account.First Financial Bank Response

We investigated this review and found the following: Mr. Boehm called our Customer Care Center on April 5, 2024, wanting assistance with changing his debit card pin number through online banking. The customer service representative explained that a pin number cannot be changed through online banking. During the call the representative also let Mr. Boehm know he could visit any branch location, or we could send a new pin number by mail. Mr. Boehm again called our Customer Care Center on May 3, 2024, frustrated with the security protections of his debit card when using his card for international transactions. The customer service representative explained the security protections the bank utilizes for international transactions. We also spoke to employees from our Clyde location who have interacted with Mr. Boehm. They have attempted to assist Mr. Boehm with combating fraud on his account.Review from Britni R

I was charged $385 in overdraft fees after their atm took $250 without putting it into my account. I was told by their employee to ignore these as they would be refunded when the dispute was resolved. Now they are refusing to remove them & took $385 from my account.First Financial Bank Response

Ms. ****** called the bank on January 24, 2024, and reported an issue with an ATM deposit. Ms. ****** stated she deposited $270.00 in cash into the ATM and received an error message. The ATM returned $20.00 and kept $250.00. During the call the bank representative assisted the customer with the ATM dispute for $250.00 and advised Ms. Rincon of her available Overdraft Privilege. The representative informed the customer it could take up to 10 business days to receive credit for the ATM deposit, and also stated any fee received as a result of the error would be refunded. The customer incurred overdraft fees totaling $385.00 between January 24, 2024, and February 2, 2024. The bank provided provisional credit of $250.00 on February 5, 2024, and refunded one $35.00 overdraft fee the same day. The remaining $350.00 was refunded to the customer on February 8, 2024.Review from Rodrigo D

We usually go to the Fort Worth Branch, on Thursday 12/28/23 we went to this location in Burleson since it was closer. The teller that helped us was new we believe, it he might have been getting trained, he was a nice person. But when I inquired about a general problem with a checking account, this lady, a Latina on her 20's or 30's which looked like a manager since she was training him, came at me with such a bad attitude about the question I made that I was just at a loss for words. incredibly rude and unprofessional, totally demeaning. And she had the nerve to tell me she was not gonna cash my checks, or my wife's check, she said she called the owner of the checking account and they couldn't verify our checks. Keep in mind these are checks from First Financial Bank. I told her I was gonna make a call, since I've never had a problem at the Fort Worth branch, so it seemed a little personal. She replied "call whoever you want" now, that attitude she had with me came out of nowhere, she was having her little power trip with me, why? I don't know. So, I called the owner of the company to tell the payroll checks (from First Financial Bank) were not being accepted by the bank. It took less than 10 seconds for him to put this young lady on her place and have our checks cashed. I am not ever stepping foot on that branch ever again and by the reviews I've seen I can't understand why they would keep this manager on the clock.First Financial Bank Response

The employees who interacted with Mr. Desrets and his wife followed bank procedures for cashing the checks drawn on our institution. The employees attempted to contact the account owner to verify the checks prior to cashing. The customer did not answer the call. Mr. Desrets subsequently called and was able to get the customer on the phone. The customer then spoke to the bank employee and verified the checks. The checks were subsequently cashed for Mr. Desrets and his wife.Review from Christie S

Horrible customer service. The bank has now lost 2 deposits. The first I luckily saved the deposit slip to get credit. The second time now 500 dollars. The first 2 customer service representatives couldn't find it. The third finally said she sees something but didn't know how since it involved debit card. The third rep found the deposit and called departments but nothing they could do. It would take 3 to 5 business days to fix. The deposit was a direct deposit they could have been credited immediately. I have done this many times and deposited immediately but this time it was not. The blamed the other party and I had to get the depositing party to provide transaction number to prove it. Never did they own up to screwing up or fix my problem of deposit. Never did they explain why this time it did not deposit immediately. Very passive about my money not being there. Now I have no clue about them charging me overdraft fees on top of all this.First Financial Bank Response
