On 5/10/21 my husband, *********************, received emergency dental services of which we paid $383.40 on this day. When we received the Explanation of Benefits Statement from Delta Dental it noted that we overpaid by $160.00. The insurance company paid $557.60 and our out-of-pocket portion should have been $223.40, an overpayment difference of $160. Since July I have been trying to obtain a refund of our overpayment without success. I called the office numerous times, emailed requesting status of the refund, and even spoke with the manager on one occasion of which she recognized the overpayment but to this day (12/2/21) continues to ignore our request. I even submitted a grievance through Delta Dental on 10/7/21 and Delta Dental sent a letter to the provider requesting they issue a refund of $160 to us within the next 10 to 15 days; their request has also gone ignored. I sent another email two days ago (11/30/21) requesting status of our refund but haven't heard back. Attached is a copy of the receipt and the Delta Dental Explanation of Benefits Statement nothing the difference overpaid to the provider. I am not entirely sure what else I can do to obtain what is rightfully due to us. All we ask is that they refund what we overpaid.
