May 06th 2024 I purchased chairs and a round table dining room. I saw the floor model and wanted to proceed with the purchase. I did not want the floor model. The rep said they did not have any more but would sell this at a discount. I asked if anything was wrong with it, and she said, "Just a few scratches," is all. I scheduled a delivery for same day for the floor model with the furniture already assembled. They wrapped it up and had a truck deliver it a few hours later to my home.In late June, I was hurt by a long s**** that was improperly assembled in one of the four chairs. Upon closer inspection, all the chairs were damaged from screws that were too long or improperly tightened. I sent them pictures, called them and visited the store. They advised me to call the protection plan company that came with the items. Said company told me they do not cover damage from the manufacturer/ store.Many calls later, I've not received any reasonable solution for a refund, exchange, or repair. They claim is was sold as is. My argument is this is a safety liability, which went unnoticed by me when I bought it. This set should never have been sold this way and presents a real physical hazard and they should respond and take responsibility.Business response

Subject: Clarification Regarding Purchase of Dining Set
I would like to bring to your attention the circumstances surrounding ******************** recent report of damages to a dining set he purchased on May 4th, 2024 and received on the same day through an independent contractor. Despite signing paperwork at the store, acknowledging his awareness of the set's condition and agreeing to accept it "as is," **************** has reported damages two months after the purchase. Attached, please find two documents indicating "Floor model sold as is" along ******************** signature. It is worth noting that the dining set was inspected by **************** on the day of purchase.I believe that the provided documents should serve as a clear reference point in addressing ******************** concerns. Out of courtesy, we are prepared to provide a service technician to conduct an inspection and repair any issues to the best of their ability. If further assistance or clarification is required, please do not hesitate to reach out.Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I am rejecting this response because:This matter is going on for months I went to the store so many times even last Saturday the manager said corporate have to refund my money. I called corporate I was told Megga furniture supposed to pay my money back

I am rejecting this response because:
this store always lying the manager talked to me with no respect he always lying said corporate will give back my money .I am a single mom with 3 kids 13,12,3,years I dont want no problem i have a very busy schedule working 13 hours raising my kids alone with no other support .I want BBB to help me to get my money back . I went to the store every time I off the manager refused to give me back my money . this issue is more than 5 month now .They never order the stuff from the warehouse because I make sure I asked them before I swipe my card I as told since I dont know the closing date of my new house it ill not be a problem I have until 6 months ,,2 days after my loan officer call me to said it was a change on my closing date due to some missing documents I went back to the store to let them know my situation since that time my nightmare start will this store .I need my money back I have a lot of issues on my bills , please BBB help me this is a voice of an innocent single mom working hard to collect this amount ,and be scam be this store .Help me
