Clear Reflections Pools and Spas Response
07/13/2023
As has been explained on multiple occasions over the 5 years you had been a customer of ours, when there is foreign material in your pool (leaves, acorns, pollen pods from oak trees, sunscreen, lotions, etc) it consumes the chlorine in your pool faster, which in turn prevents it from targeting just the algae. When your chlorine depletes after a few days and your pool must wait a week before its next service date, the lack of chlorine allows for algae to bloom. We don't want to spend our time fighting algae in your pool anymore than you want your pool to be green. And as explained, it is an unfortunate truth that trees directly over your pool, especially live oaks, can quickly turn your pool into a disaster given how frequently they drop leaves, or acorns, or pollen pods during its pollenating season. While the owner did say something along the lines of "you can't have oak trees and a clean pool" that is a paraphrased statement because the conversation was much more in depth than that, and the owner even suggested to have a robotic pool vacuum installed to help clean up the debris in your pool and minimize the algae presence between weekly visits. Just to show how often your trees drop debris into your pool, our company (the owner and a lead tech) came out Saturday, June 3rd, and spent 48 minutes cleaning your pool. You sent us a text message 2 days later stating you had to re-clean your pool due to the debris. We had also sent out a reminder on March 23, 2023 to all of our customers that you would need to check and clean out your skimmer baskets as they would easily be overloaded. Oak season here can last through the month of May, and when your pool is already struggling with under the normal drop of material from your trees, the added weight of pollen season doesn't help. We have proof of every service that was provide to your pool, every chemical added, and how long each visit was for the last 5 years. We never provided poor service, you just did not want to accept the fact that, unless we provided twice a week service to your pool, your pool would not be algae free if you were not also maintaining your investment - especially during pollen season.
There had never been a missed service call from us, and have records dating back to 6/14/2019 to prove as such. If we can not make it out a particular day, we always make it up that same week. Due to being down a technician that week, as well as a thunderstorm that prevented safe work for a day, you were informed via text message that your pool would be cleaned Saturday, June 3rd by the owner himself. He was there for 48 minutes with an additional technician to clean your pool.
As for the additional charge, it was explained to you that it was an accidental charge as our accounting software repopulated your invoice for the 1 visit you received from us in June. As soon as it was brought to our office's attention, it was rectified and you were refunded with proof via receipt.
