zero stars if that was an option. Hanger clinic built me a terribly designed prosthetic that does not support my active lifestyle. I have gone back and complained (in person/ via phone and email). They have no intention to fix the situation. They took my ins company's money and offer no customer service now that they have been paid. There is no concern for my wellbeing or satisfaction with their product. After checking my records and L codes it is evident that insurance was billed for components that are not on my prosthetic. This is called upcoding and is totally illegal. I would like these predatory criminals to refund my insurance for the c*** they billed for so i can go about getting a functioning prosthetic from a reputable prosthetist.Hanger, Inc Response

Poor communication, as well as the worst service I've ever received from a prosthetist since becoming an amputee. Contacting *** at the office in *********, ** always requires several phone calls and emails - and she's usually not the one that answers. Add to this the fact that she is the only prosthetist who's ever handed me a prosthesis to go home on where the socket came loose from the pylon by the next morning - not once, but twice. She's inconsistent, and at my last appointment spent more time explaining why she didn't think anything was her fault or responsibility than she didn't evaluating the pain her poor design and substandard care is making worse in my residual limb. When I contacted Hangar Corporate with my concerns? They told ***, and she proceeded to tell me that contacting corporate or using social media to review her and her work "was inappropriate". So I'd like to make sure everyone knows they should look at options other than Hangar.Hanger, Inc Response

Tried this location 2 years ago and they screwed up the insert. Had to remake and they still were not right. In 2023 went to the ************ location, had no issues. They were professional and made sure I was ************** Forward to 2024 went back to the ******* location and had new inserts made and explained I needed the inserts just as the ones I had made at the ***** location. Picked shoes and inserts and the cushion to keep pressure off the wound was completely different. I was told by the ***** *** that these inserts will work. Well less than a week my wound opened up and it was because of the way the insert was made. My doctor couldn't believe what Hangar did. So I called the man in charge ***** and he had me come in. Made a new imprint of my foot to make new inserts. Came in last week he checked everything and said to pick them up the next day just stop by after 8 am. He had the office girl call me and advise he didn't have time and that I would have to wait. I told the girl I was leaving town and would be gone until around Sept 21.I shouldn't have been surprised that this location hasn't improv ** from 2 years ago. Now I am without proper support for my would and honestly I don't think that ***** or Hangar Clinci could care about my needs. What happens to those patients that have proshetics are they treated with the same disrespect?Don't go to the ************* in ******* on ***********************. Even my doctor *** is in the same parking lot a few doors down does not recommend this Hangar location to their ************* of experience: August 29, 2024 **itHanger, Inc Response

BEWARE, STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. DON'T LEARN THE HARD WAY LIKE I DID.WAS TOLD IN FT ***** TO STAY CLEAR OF HANGERS BUT I DID NOT LESSEN.The old prosthetics Hangers made, gave me nothing but pain and discomfort. Each month adjustments were made with no good outcome. My Ins. authorised Hanger to make another leg. I can't believe these scumbags used old pieces that they had in their parts room and passed this leg as new. I know this because the pipe was all scratched up, the foot was marked, ankle was old and not flexible and the cup was requiring a total of 9 ply socks for my ***** to fit. I was in shock looking at this product. I have enough to deal with not Hanger crooks.Ok, before I looked at what was just made. Was asked by the tech if I would mind if I left my old leg with him to make adjustments. I took off my shoe and said OK. Now that I think of it he was after the mobile ankle that *** had made for me.The next month I returned and was told that I had never left a leg. I then told him he better find it, "you sat right next to me while I took off the shoe." His selective memory kicked in and told me he brought it to the other store. WHY!!!!!!!!!!!Garbage product given to me the next month. Cant even get it to fit on my *****. I'm done with this company trash Another RED FLAG that they thief are your supplies every 6 months. Make sure you leave with an invoice and it matches your product they give you or they will short you The crooks will find anyway to steal from the handicap.Right now I'm unable to walk.HANGER you better hope your product didn't cause this!Hanger, Inc Response

I was fitted for a new set of sockets over 5 months ago and every time I think I'm going to get them brought to me the technician comes up with some new excuse about why they did not get them completed I am getting to the point where I am going to change my prosthetic company if hanger cannot get on the ball they promise to see me every Friday I wait all day long and then I get a text from them around 4:30 in the afternoon saying they're not going to be able to make it so I have wasted a complete day they are not very dependableHanger, Inc Response

I've been with Hanger for more than 30 years and have never been treated in this manner. I haven't been able to walk and I've been in constant pain for 6 months. Found out that the prosthetist in ******, *****, and his Telehealth doctor lowered my activity level to a K2. I'm guessing that's why he didn't want to use my own doctor. Forced me to use his health doctor and then didn't tell me that they lowered my activity level. I've been a K3 since 1987. The first time I went in and said this foot doesn't work for me because it feels like I'm dragging a brick, ***** should have put me back up to a k3. I was literally describing what happens when you put a K3 in a **. The catcher is K2 feet are very expensive compared to K3 for active people. I'm sure that's why **** from **************** came down and told me they were going to keep the original pricing instead of resubmitting it to ********* I said no you need to resubmit the changes to ******** and give me all the invoices. He literally told me he was going to commit ******** fraud and he did. You draw your own conclusions. Also they submitted parts to ******** that they did not put on my prosthesis so if there are any lawyers out there please contact me. Hanger keeps removing all of my reviews on ******* Can you imagine going to a mechanic and they give you a $31,000 bill and they just give you a summary that does not describe what parts they put inside the car to charge you $31,000? That's what happened with me but only my prosthesis. I used to test parts for hanger at their corporate office in ****** ***** so I know how things work. I'm allowed to have my own receipts because that's the only way I have to make sure that the prosthetist is giving me what they say they're giving me. I don't see why hanger had a problem with that if everything was legit.Hanger, Inc Response

Truly horrible experience! I had a easier time waking up in the hospital realizing my leg was amputated then the still on going anything but easy experience I'm currently having getting my prosthetic leg through Hanger Clinic. Because the VA has a contract with Hanger, I have had the unfortunate experience of dealing with them since early January 2024 and decided to officially end all future interactions with Hanger on 4/19/2024 after a series of failed communications and I still do not have my orthotics. Then, the clinician at the ******************** clinic, ***************************, wrote in her message to the VA that the reason I decided to cancel all future appointments is due to a "scheduling error." Never would I cancel future interactions with anyone or any company due to a scheduling error. That would be ridiculous. This is an outright lie, and I still have all email messages, text messages, and voicemails from or to this clinic to prove it. Based on the many reviews and complaints that I have read across various online platforms, I can tell that Hanger clearly does not strive to provide the highest quality of patient care or customer service, and that they are not sincerely sorry about any negative experiences. I am a Clinician employed with Hanger Clinic for nearly 30 yrs. Recently retired on December 29th. To date, after numerous phone calls to the corporate office in ******* *****, i still as of this date have not received my 2023 *** form. They claim to have sent a W-2 to my home in January and claim more recently to have sent another in mid February. the only Hanger location now doing diabetic shoes and inserts in their central ******* locations...I have used them on more than one occasion...the last two appointments have been Canceled by some unknown means!!! They only say "sorry" we can see you on this future date....for this cancelation action my appointment was made in October 2023, after the required paperwork was received, and was set for January 09, **** 90 days out....no pre-appointment calls or emails were received so I called them and they established that the appointment was canceled...I do not have my future date appointment at the time of this complaint as I'm waiting on a 48 to 72 hour call back.....they only allow messages at the ************, you can't speak to a person for any action, only on their schedule to "CALL YOU BACK"...my health care provider has no options available other than Hanger Clinic...they note **** Insurance companies participate with them, maybe the profitability is low but the throughput of bodies must be high so all costs plus profit would seem to be available..
