This company damaged several furniture pieces and other items while in their possession. They failed to clean those items as promised, but have charged my insurance $27,000+ which has already been paid for content storage and cleaning. The insurance company adjuster says that I need to collect from them since they have already been paid. I have documents that claim these items were cleaned, yet I have proof, in photos, that there is still smoke residue on them from the fire in my home (Jan 22, 2022). The company labeled these items as non-salvage and claim to have sent documentation to my insurance company. They are telling me that the insurance company should pay and not them. The broken furniture was NOT broken before being picked up for storage by them (**** Davis). They have said they will not clean nor repair the non-salvage items.Business response

We know that when an unfortunate event like fire happens the customer has an emotional attachment to their belongings like we all do and thats one the reasons we did accept to move and inspect items prior to establishing that the items were non-salvageable.
Insurance company paid for inventory, inspection, and cleaning of Salvageable items ONLY, as for the non-salvageable items they are covered by customers insurance therefore the customer cannot expect the ********************** company to clean these items and get paid for their items too. (its just common sense).
The non-salvageable items were picked up from the customer home in a good intentioned attempted to inspect and if possible, salvage it.
The company has a highly trained crew designated for inventory, inspection and cleaning of salvageable items, and I have attached pictures of our warehouse with customers contents and belongings professionally stored. If you need our help, we are glad to help clarify the issue one more time with the insurance adjuster.
