Smitty’s barbecue catered my wedding September 17, 2022. We paid $1940 for 150 people, this included brisket, sausage, beans, potato salad, pickles, onions, tea, and lemonade. Upon serving may be 68–70 to be safe, Ravi Loaded up all my food and drinks and left. My sister Brianna ********* contacted Renee (partial owner) and informed her of the situation on Monday, September 19, 2022, to which she was told we would be contacted. Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 1:01 PM I contacted Ravi about the situation since I had yet to be called. He proceeds to tell me all he took were the two briskets and had them up at Smitty’s if I wanted them, when I told him what he took totaled $1066 he told me all he could do was $200 back. I proceed to let him know that was not right and I deserve half of my money back he took my number and said he would call me back. I have yet to hear anything from them and got no answer when I contact them. He took everything that I paid for from the wedding if I had not bought extra drinks my guess would’ve had nothing to drink. I should’ve had extra food and didn’t even get to enjoy the food that I paid for.

I (Ravia ** ******* was contacted by Martin ******* to “Cater” his wedding on Sept. 17, 2022

At Paske-Whiskey Ranch in Zephyr, Texas (approx.. 18.7 miles from Brownwood). I was asked to prepare and serve  food for 150 people which consisted of Brisket Sausage, Beans and potato salad, pickles, onions, tea and Bread. I agreed and quoted him a price for 150 people (at 12.00 per person)which totaled to be 1800.00 x 8.25% = 1948.50 he called and paid by credit card our credit card processor charge the customer 4% per dollar to process a transaction (77.94) totaling the amount of the complete transaction= 2026.44. I did as I have always done, I reached the destination and I began to set up to serve the clients and their guests. He client did not have as many guest as anticipated I served approx.. 75 guests at their wedding, but  I still served as though there was 150. I talked with the Bride ( Michelle) after I served and she stated to me that everything was great she even stated she had her plate up in the room, but she had eaten off Martins plate. I made sure everyone was served and seemed satisfied and happy (1 1/2hrs) and watched them dancing after being served.  I then began packing things up and cleaning up as that is my job as a caterer.  I even left a pan with sausage in it, few loaves of bread and some tea cups as a courtesy to them as they were enjoying themselves.  I never knew there was a problem until my sister (Renee) was contacted by Brianna ********* the brides sister stating that I took all the food that her sister had paid for  and she was not happy and that She (Brianna) decided to contact (Renee) as they were cool.  My sister told Brianna that she would talk to me and get back to her, I told my sister that I would call Marty ( as I tried at the number provided to me but he did not answer or return my call) to see what the problem was.  On the next day the Michelle (the Bride) called my sister and my sister gave me the phone so that I could talk with her and hopefully remedy the problem. Upon talking with Michelle and trying to appease her, I quickly realized she was going to be difficult, I offered all I could to make her happy but to no avail.  I did tell her I would get back to her, but before I could come up with a plan pleasing to her she took to social media and started to slander me and my business, So I just stopped and waited for the BBB, Small Claims court and The health dept. as she had stated in her post on the public BROWNWOOD ONLINE GARAGE SALE SITE  as learned about when our customers started coming in and sharing and apologizing for what we were going through with this particular person. We have been catering for well over 40 yrs and 20 of those years have been in my hands when my father was no longer able to do it himself. I have traveled to do caterings events and never have we ever had this type of issue.  Thank You
