We purchased a ***** home in April 2022 and the installation of our unit came with the house from All Seasons. The ** unit was not working properly even on the date of installation in early June 2022 where the owner had to come out that night and fix an issue of the crew he had working on it. Fast forward to 6/15/23 the company came out and replaced the compressor in our Central ** unit. This day, the guy who came out, *****, told us that he didnt bring enough ***** and he would come back by with more when he was in the area. After multiple calls and a week going by, he did come back out. Again on 7/9/23 our compressor went out again and almost started a fire at our home. (Can include pics), we call All Seasons and they tell us that the part is under warranty but we would need to pay $1050 to have them install it and it literally hasnt even been a month since the first installation. The guy on the phone with me, *****, was extremely unprofessional and told me that he was not, and I quote going to yell and scream at me anymore. The same guy also told my husband that morning that this is a common issue lately with their compressors because they have been banged around. Once confronted about this issue he said he did not say it, and then changed it to I did say it but I used the wrong verbiage. After being asked about the Freon issue possibly causing this, their office manager informed me that it being low on ***** would not cause it to mess up, however that is contrary to the 2 other ** companys I have called. We have since had to purchase another new ** unit from another company for $1,800.00 because there is no way we can afford to pay these guys $1,050.00 every 3 weeks when the unit keeps going out, and we are also in ***** in 100 degree weather with an 8 month old. I would like to be reimbursed for a partial of what I spent on the new **, or my warranty money that I paid them for this old unit ONE YEAR AGO. This is unacceptable. Thank you so much.Business response

You have never paid us to do anything, you had a contract with your dealer to get an a/c installed. The dealer then sub contracts to ******* and they sub contract to us. We have done over ************************* the last 6 years with only a couple issues, all of which we resolve according to protocol. As it is a mechanical part that we do not make and is supplied to us by the manufacturer NORTEK, it is very unfortunate that the compressor only lasted 3 weeks. Everything was installed to manufacturer specs and the (less than) .5 lbs of freon that you were low was for my piece of mind but the unit was running within manufacturer specs upon departure. Our hands are tied on the protocol of the manufacturer. I helped you out and back dated the initial compressor change out so you wouldn't have to pay anything. You have never directly paid me a single cent. I have no idea who you would contact to try and get any compensation back but your anger is addressed at the wrong company. I have to follow the protocols in place. Sadly it's my name on installing equipment that I do not manufacture or have any type of warranty with. I am just the installer, I did not sell you this unit. I did not collect any payment from you for the unit or compressor change out. I install what the dealer requires and NORTEK has a one year warranty for any parts failure as stated in your warranty packet left on the day of installation. Our words have gotten twisted and not once did I raise my voice with you, I stated that I would not yell or argue with you as you tried to do, on protocols put in place by the manufacturer.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
You cannot tell me, and expect me to believe that I did not pay for this unit and warranty IN the financing of my house. The way you handled things was very unprofessional. You should have never came to install a new unit with not enough Freon. No matter how little or much it was, you left me with I will add more when Im in the area - not even a date. Is that professional? No. It isnt. Also I have reached out to TWO ac companies who all say that running it low at all is not good on the compressor, which would have been the reason my AC unit constantly ran. I cannot afford to pay $1050 for your labor for a new compressor every 3 weeks because you install a banged up compressor (your words, not mine), and dont even do it correctly. I dont even care if you say that was taken out of context, that was YOUR words. Also. I never once screamed or yelled at you, I was and still am frustrated with your company but I DID NOT yell at you and would NEVER recommend you to anyone not only due to the compressor failure but because of your overall un professionalism - dating back to day of installation.I will not retract my BBB complaint, or other actions we are taking, unless I am compensated for the money I spent originally on this bogus warranty and AC unit. Sorry that I cant afford to pay for your labor every 3 weeks when you install faulty banged up compressors.
Have a great day.
Sincerely,
