We began using EcoStar Pest Control services on May 5, 2024. Despite the initial treatment, we continued to observe a significant number of springtails around our house, prompting us to request a second and third re-service. After a total of six services, comprising two regular and four re-services, we not only still have an issue with springtails but also now have spiders. Consequently, we requested to cancel our contract. Contrary to the sales pitch we received, which stated we could cancel the service if unsatisfied after three re-services, EcoStar insists that five regular services must be completed before cancellation is permitted. This discrepancy has led to a disagreement, as they are now refusing to allow us to cancel the service. Please advise on how we can resolve this issue.Business response

We have been very responsive to the customer in getting to his house and getting the issue under control. We are happy to service his house as many times between the treatments for free until he is happy, within our scope of service. He is wanting us to eliminate the springtails around the outside of his home. Weve explained this is not possible. We havent been able to treat the inside the last couple times we have serviced Mr. *** home as he says the issue is outside. We cannot eliminate springtails in an area that is not contained outside. ******** was saying at first that he had springtails inside, and now he is saying he wants them gone around the outside or he wants to cancel.Customer response

I have never mentioned the issues are from indoor. It is all about outdoor. I do NOT expect your product kill all spring tails, but at least most of them. After 6 treatments, there are still a lot of them. That is the main reason i want to cancel your service. I have attached video in this link

We dont guarantee springtails outside. Its not possible. Springtails jump and infest the outdoors all the time. If they try to come inside, we can set up product for them to walk through and can predictably treat them. Springtail outdoor infestations happen because of weather, the neighbors environment and untreated issues. Were happy to split the difference in the fee to cancel and move on. We wish the customer the best in finding a company that can meet his expectation.Customer response

I have been using different pest controls and this is first time my backyard has this huge amount of spring tail after so many treatments. Per the conversation , I am not satisfied with your service 4 consecutive times already. Therefore, please cancel it without any fee.

I am rejecting this response because: if this is not in guaranteed list, you should bring this out at when i asked FIRST reservice. Instead, you kept telling me your product is effenciecy to springtail. Also in your email, you mentioned " 3 times between consecutive services for the same issue and still cant take care of pest issues, you may cancel without penaltyBusiness response

When I spoke with you on the phone you said the issue was springtails in the bathroom inside, and they were coming in from outside. Springtails INSIDE is not the same pest issue as springtails OUTSIDE. They are two very different issues. We cant control springtails OUTSIDE. We are very liberal with our reservice policy as we try to provide the best pest service we can. We have made a good faith effort to accommodate the customer and require at least half the discount given.Customer response
