Friendly staff but lacks effective communication and organization which are key in the home-build process. BCC did come thru in the end and delivered a somewhat finished product (6 months late); however, it was a very tumultuous experience. Their staff turnover was sup-par at best. We worked with three different Project Managers throughout the construction process. Additionally, they blamed labor and material shortages for their delays; however, several other builders in the community were not impacted and surpassed our build. I would recommend a more reliable Builder that is well connected with their vendors and retains skilled and reliable trades. Many of the trades we dealt with were very unreliable and ultimately rendered a product that was not in scope (i.e cabinets). Additionally, BCC never revised the floor plans we brought with the structural changes we made (after multiple requests) which made the construction a nightmare. We had to settle on many decisions that were made during the framing and sheet-rock process that could have been avoided if the plans were revised (i.e. ceiling elevations, load-bearing walls, foundation height, placement of columns, etc.). Furthermore, they will prioritize construction based on the scale, size and price of the project rather than FIFO. Lastly, we are still waiting for BCC to address several issues. They are engaged but they are moving at a very glacial pace. Their masonry and paint trades left a mess on our flatwork, stone and foundation which needs to be addressed. We are also waiting on their cabinet vendor to address several issues that should have been addressed prior to closing.
