I have **************** and every year I try to use it for an annual eye exam. I moved and this year needed to select a new place for service. I scheduled my comprehensive eye exam here and was told 3 times, (when setting appt, during service and at check out when finished) that my total would be a $15 copay plus a $39 upgrade fee I agreed to at my service. Checking out, I paid my $54 and left. The next day I got a call saying that because I was given a prescription for glasses, (which I did not need or ask for) and because there were was conversation and review of family history and the overall health of my eyes there would be extra charges because it now became a medical exam and not just eye exam. I have had annual eye exams for years with similar places and never ran into this. Those matters were always covered under my exams. If anything asked or performed was going to be an extra, I should have been asked and advised at the time of service and not the day after when they looked back to review. I verified later with my **************** Provider, VSP that what they said was not covered was incorrect and was told it could be found in their own VSP reference manual. When I called back again to dispute the additional unauthorized $60 charge to my card, I was basically told, in a roundabout way I was just out of luck. So, my total charges came out to $114, which was $54 plus the extra unexpected $60 which I am requesting a refund for. On August 15th I did file a dispute case too for the extra $60 with the credit card that was used.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: I have submitted 2 documents to both the BBB and Insight Eyecare.1. The authorization allowing them to release the information they said they could not do without my permission.
2. The document from my Eyecare Insurance which states they do cover the service I received that they incorrectly said is not covered
