My ************** purchased vehicle and was told I had a power train warranty and I needed to have vehicle maintenance done at dealership to not void warranty. I said I didn't want the warranty and I never signed for it but once financed it was included in my finance loan. I took vehicle in for oil change at the dealership and they forgot to tighten or replace oil plug. My vehicle started to stall and my husband discovered it didn't have any oil. So we called dealership and they informed us to put oil in it and drive it to dealership. They said they checked the vehicle out and it was good to go. My vehicle was having same issues and I returned to dealership and they informed me my piston ring was broken and they filed a claim on the service warranty they said I had. However the claim was denied due to normal wear and tear and the dealership refused to fix it and never acknowledge the problem was due to their negligence while in the care.***********************************************************************************Review from Tarah J

Never ever bring your car to Southwest Kia be serviced. Youll be waiting forever with almost no communication on when the repairs will be finished. I brought my car in on July 5th for a recall and AC problem. I called everyday with no answer even after leaving voicemails. I didnt hear anything until the 12th about what they found. I signed off on the repairs the same day and they had to order a part which they said would be here on the 16th. The 16th came and went. I was calling multiple times a day with no response. Finally on the 24th I was told the wrong part was ordered and they had to reorder the correct part. It is now the 29th still cant get anybody to answer the phone, my service provider is no help, and they still have my car with no estimated ETA on when it will be finished.Review from Lynn M

If you are in Dallas DO NOT get your car serviced at The Southwest Kia located at *****************. I went there because I needed a tune up, and the lead technician ***** did a diagnostic and said that I needed a new engine with an error code of P0304, which is for a Cylinder 4 misfire. He claimed that I had a broken valve, and that I had a hole in my piston therefore I needed a brand-new engine and proceeded to recommend I pay ***** for a new engine. None of this made sense to me because my car had just been serviced at the same Kia ********** three months prior and had a full diagnostic done that said my spark plugs "may need attention", with no other issues besides a fuel pump. When I went to view the previous diagnostic information to reference, details from my service in September were deleted. *******, my service rep called me to relay the message, and when I told her I was not going to pay for the service, she immediately offered to set up a call for me with Sales to trade my car in, and that let me know everything I needed to know about these SCAMMERS. When I went to pick my car up the next day, I spoke with ******, the service manager and he explained to me that the way my engine failed, it disqualified me from the LIFETIME Engine Warranty. How ironic. At the end of our conversation, I asked what my trade in value would be just to see, and ****** immediately called an appraiser to estimate my cars value. I was very disappointed with this experience. I will NEVER go back to the Southwest Kia Dealership! People work HARD every day, and y'all choose to purposely SCAM people who you view as weak, we'll let me tell you something, **** TRIED THE WRONG ONE! Do not waste your time at Southwest Kia. Get your car serviced elsewhere. Do not trust Southwest Kia, always get a second opinion.Review from Beverly J

On August 18, 2023 I came in to get two rear tires replaced along with an alignment and new spark plugs. The service advisor tried to get me to purchase a different brand of tires with a payment plan option since they didnt have 4 of the tires I have already on my car.. I declined because I didnt want or need a payment plan. He seemed aggravated because I declined his offer. When they say my car was ready he tried to again get me to use a payment plan option. I declined again. So he replied oh so I guess youre going to pay outright then !! When I asked the service advisor ************************* did they replace the back tires as requested he responded with we put the tires on the safest position on the car. Sir what does that mean? He replied Im sorry youre so confused. Sir Im not confused because I specifically asked for the back tires to be replaced. So they took off the better tires and left the bad tires on the back. Stating to me its better to have a blow out on the back than to have on the front. I responded I dont want to have a blow out AT ALL. Please put the better tire back on the back until the new tires come in on Tuesday August 22. I asked to speak to the manager *********************** and he was rude stating its not a big issue since youre bringing the car back in a few days. I explained what if I cant come back in a few days and have to drive longer with the slick tire you left on. He got even heated when I again asked to please put the better tire back on my car. Complete the transaction left and my car now rides like an bumpy old wagon. I though it was just from the older tire. It doesnt feel like they changed the spark plugs either. Went to get gas only to find out my gas cap has been replace with one thats broken. I planned to address those issues on Tuesday when I came to pick up the other 2 tires. After this incident on Sunday morning at 6:29I got a text message from an unknown number calling me a N**** !!!Review from Sanieya R

I recently purchased a car from this dealership my car for the first few weeks ran perfectly fine as I continue to drive the car I did talk to them about issues with my hood. The latch was not properly repaired even though they sold the car to me let along the mileage on the car I was not towed it was over 100 miles already on the car. This was my first time purchasing a car. I feel very misled and they took a vantage of me. I am 18 years old and I asked that I wanted to do a buyers remorse and return the car. They would not allow me to return the car due to the fact that the car was ******* miles on the car and that guy suggested if they could put me in another vehicle they will not work with me.Review from Melissa V

Stay away from Southwest Kia, better yet stay away from the make *** *********** It is not coincidence that I have had 2 *** vehicles that have both ended up having the same problem, excessive oil consumption. My first a *** **** now my second a *** ******* I was burned the first time by Southwest Kia and they got away with blaming me the customer for lack of maintenance. My engine completely locked up and I was refused a new engine. Their excuse then was the service center I was using at the time for regular oil changes. I was told the oil was cheap, not the proper oil for the car. They got away with not having to repair/replace the engine under the warranty for this reason. I was conned into another car which at the time I felt was the only thing I could do. I decided the second time I would only have my car serviced at Southwest Kia so that they could not use that excuse again. I am currently having the same problem and now that this is my second time I know this is due to *** just having defective engines period. I am still under 100, 000 miles which per the powertrain warranty qualifies my car for a new engine. When it actually came down to beginning this process I was told again it was my fault due to lack of maintenance and no repairs would be made even though my car is still within the warranty window. This is now the second time Southwest Kia refuses to honor the warranty as promised. Bottom line Southwest Kia is not in business for the customer. I have done my research and have found that this is a huge problem among *** vehicles. I have read a ton of complaints from other customers in my same situation so this clearly brings to light that it's an engine defect. If I had not read from so many others that this was an ongoing issue with *** vehicles I would have probably gotten burned a second time. This clearly has nothing to do with me and *** needs to start owning up. I want justice to be served and I want what I was promised at the point of sale.Review from Brandon W

Hello, Kia southwest is horrible. They been having my car over 6 Months now and haven't communicate with me about my car. I had brought my car in for service to fix my axle and bearing on the car. I spend over 1500 dollars to get the repair the first because my tires was to big for the car. After it was fixed I went to discount tires to buy new tires to fit the car. 6 months later the problem came back again the axle and bearing needed to be fix again. I brought my car back to Kia and they told me it was the tires again and discount tire sold me the wrong tires. However, I did my research and Kia was wrong. After doing the Investigation Kia was wrong. Kia gave me quote on how much it was going to cost. They wanted me to spend 1532.00 again to fix the problem. I told them I was not going to pay 1532.00 again when your repair team already fixed the problem. So after the investigation it was Kia fault for not fixing the problem the first time and they are still making me pay some money for fixing my car. However, Kia is wrong and they should be Responsible for fixing the problem for free. Please help me in this situation.Southwest Kia Response

We are willing to assist Mr. ******** with his repair. However, the manufacturer warranty has expired and a axle will be at his expense. This is a 9 year old vehicle with more than 100k miles and all repairs are at the customer expense unless a part has been replaced within the last 12 months or 12k miles and has no signs of outside influence.
