Horn Brothers Roofing are the ones that did our roof and all other repairs after the storm in May of this year. We had our large oak tree fall on our roof and straight into our home. We had extensive damage done to half our home.After our first call to the insurance company our very next call was to Horn Brothers Roofing. They have done work for us in the past and we had a great experience.***** **** has been in business over 20 years and is very knowledgeable when it comes to dealing with homeowners insurance. He became our ****** and handled the repair/remodel from the ground up. He was professional and always kept us updated with the remodeling process. ***** walked us step by step with everything taking place each day. I can not say enough about ***** and his team. Our neighbors were impressed with how quickly the job had been completed. With ****** knowledge and rapport with the insurance company and their adjusters made getting our home repairs go smoothly. I can not say enough great things about Horn Brothers Roofing.Truly a blessing ??A very satisfied customer ****** Family

We were extremely satisfied with the roofing project that the Horn Brothers completed for ***** started with a bad rainstorm when we were on vacation. Returning home to find that the rain penetrated roof around the chimney and leaked through to our 1st floor bathroom. The insurance company would not pay - claiming it was a maintenance matter and not reimbursable. We then contacted several DFW reputable roofing companies. The problem was that the manufacturer of our steel coated roof was out of business and replacement shingles were no longer available to match the roof. Their options were questionable. What do we do now.We contacted a friend about our dilemma. They had their roof replaced recently by Horn Brothers and were very satisfied with the quality of their workmanship and how they addressed their unique situation.We placed a call to ***** **** and never looked back. He and his son were prompt with their evaluation of the situation hail damage created the voids near the chimney. Once we contacted the insurance company again, ***** and ***** **** having 25 + years of experience with installing steel coated roofs, successfully worked with the adjuster to approve the installation of a new roof. *****, ***** ** and ** **** functioned as a general contractor to coordinate their subcontractors with demo, chimney repointing/waterproofing, installation, soffit repair, painting, and gutter installation. They were there every day to ensure the work and cleanup was coordinated and on schedule with us and with the necessary permits and submittals to the insurance company.They are a consummate professional organization in a field that has way too many unscrupulous companies. We highly recommend Horn Brothers for any roofing needs, including roof cleaning to remove years of dirt and black mildew.Review from Robert L

Very unresponsive. Tell us they will have a contract to us to fix our roof, a year later still haven't received it. We have called and texted Jacob and his brother several times to not get a response at all anymore. Very sad after we have had 3 roofs put on by them. Being unresponsive is not professional at all.Horn Brothers Roofing Response

In response to the above review, we never actually contracted with the ******'s to fix the roof in question. Horn Brothers gave them an estimate to fix their flat roof for $700. It apparently had some holes poked through the flat which resulted in leaks. Additionally, they have a mansard roof (roughly 8 squares) they wanted to replace and we gave them a verbal estimate for that also.
The ******'s asked if we could repair the mansard roof and include the $700 flat repair at no additional cost. Unfortunately, with the rising cost of supplies due to supply chain issues etc., we were not able to accommodate them on the repair at no additional cost. A contract was never written due to the fact that we did not reach a resolution on the price.
The ******'s have been excellent customers for Horn Brothers in the past. We replaced three (3) roofs for them without any issues. It is unfortunate that we could not come to an agreement with them on this particular job but pricing issues did not allow for us to perform the flat repair and mansard re-roof. We did not reach out further to them since we knew we could not help them on this particular project. Horn Brother's truly appreciates the previous business we have done with the ******'s and we are sorry that they feel that Horn Brothers did not reach back out to them. We would certainly work with them on any new future projects if they were interested.

Unfortunately the above is not true. We did ask them to include it in the price, however when they said that was not a problem for us. We asked how much it would cost to replace the entire tile around the entire roof. And include that with the project. Ed came out looked at the issue with the roof, he said he would provide and estimate to us. He called my family and informed us they could do it for $7,000. We said fine that would work and he said he would get a contract to us. We had agreed upon a price that's why we were waiting on a contract. We waited, texted, and the excuse we kept receiving was they didn't have the man power. We continued to text and call with no response from Ed or *****. What is also interesting is we started reaching out to have the leak repaired when it was under warranty still and no one would return our calls. So this company has become very hard to do business with anymore. As you can see, they stopped reaching out to us because they couldn't do it. Whenever we kept calling and texting no one informed us of this. A simple call to say I'm sorry, but we can't complete the roof on what we agreed upon due to rising cost in products instead of excuses. Communication goes a long way with a business however This company fell very short of that when it comes to business.
