My husband and I booked a European trip for April, 2020 through Superior Cruise and Travel, Reservation # DC2500TP/CG2G9V. We paid $15,296.22. Then Covid hit and they canceled the trip in March, 2020. We were told repeatedly we would be getting all of the money back, to be patient, as they worked it all out. Knowing this had to be a difficult time for a travel agency, we were patient. We were unfortunately told multiple lies about what was happening with our money. I directly contacted Princess cruises and immediately got the money back for that part of the trip, which left $10, 464.68 for "land & air package" and the $1676 for the travel protection. On June 19, 2020 we received a letter from this travel agency stating the total refund would be returned within 90 days. Again, we tried to be patient and understanding but continued to send and receive emails from the manager, ******** ***** stating it was coming, just wait. I kept notes of all the conversations by phone and by email this entire time. On September 1, 2020 we received an email stating that the total amount due us was $11,606.23 but that this travel agency only owed us $5528.23 as they had bought out the same named travel agency (at that time owned by **** ***** in Houston) we had paid the first half of the trip cost to. The email stated we would have to contact this now defunct agency to collect the other $6078 owed to us. We attempted to reach this "new/or old" travel agency's attorney, Paul F. Driscoll, who never responded to our attempts to contact him. ******** ***** told me there were 83 others having the same issues we were having. I continued to email/call in an attempt to get our money back but was basically told "so sorry". We contacted an attorney who said it would cost more in attorney's fees than what we were trying to get back; I attempted to file a civil suit but was just so confused with the process that I finally quit.
