My husband was admitted to *** for several days with pain in the stomach. They did several CT scans, an ultrasound and an xray. They said he had diverticulitis and put him on IV antibiotics and heavy duty pain medicine. He was not responding to the medicine. His stomach became bright red and very swollen, they disregarded that and sent us home. They told us to follow up with our primary care doctor. The primary care office sent ** again for another ** and found an abscess. They sent us to a *** doctor and scheduled us out 3-4 weeks for surgery. Meanwhile my husband had been on 3 rounds of antibiotics and is still very sick and in lots of pain. We ended ** in another hospital and went in for immediate surgery. The *** doctors and nurses couldnt answer our questions and seem to treat us like cattle. My husband suffered unneccessarily because of irresponsible doctors. The lack of communication and knowledge is unacceptable. I do not feel I owe a bill that is astronomical for being neglected.
