I purchased a vehicle on October 20th from the dealership. After a few days the vehicle started to have issues starting. The vehicle would not start the following Saturday(October 28) after purchase. I attempted to contact the dealership but was rudely cut short everytime and told to call back Monday. I then attempted my own problem solving and tried to jumpstart but was unsuccessful. I waited till Monday and contacted the dealership again Monday and was told to tow in the vehicle and I could receive a rental. Due to the jumpstart the previous day I was not able to tow in the vehicle that day under insurance coverage. Prestige motors failed to mention that I could have had the vehicle tied to the dealership on Saturday because they did not want to speak with me. On Tuesday( October 31) I was able to tow the vehicle but this time I was told I am not receiving a rental. As a result I had to call out of work starting from Monday to Friday. I continue to call the dealership to check the status of the vehicle because they do not give updates. On Thursday of November 2nd they tell me the vehicle is ready. They claim they were able to get the vehicle running on Tuesday and the starter was the issue and was replaced. I proceeded to drive the car home. I parked for a few minutes and proceeded to go somewhere else. As I am pressing the acceleration the car begins to stall and doesn't want to go forward. Pass airbag off and transmission failure: service now warnings appear. In the midst of this I am almost rear ended by another car. I proceed to get to a safe location and call the dealership, they do not answer, as they usually do when you are having issues. Following this incident the car once again refused to start and additionally it seems they gave the vehicle to me with no oil in it. I returned the next day and spoke with ***** who acted as if this is not his problem, according to him the mechanic that worked on the car was unreliable and fired. He tells me there will be no refund and my only option is to go look at another vehicle for an exchange. Upon doing so I find out that even though I paid way more for the previous vehicle this extra money will not be returned and I have to pay extra fees. The dealership does not except any responsibility for I believe intentionally selling me a faulty vehicle. They have been very rude and inconsiderate during the whole process after I started to have issues with the vehicle. My father called on my behalf to get some answers and they ( ***** specifically) to tell him " you are holding up a sales line and haggling a salesman" "go ahead and call a lawyer." I missed 9 days of work as a result of this, and was almost had had an accident. Based on the accounts of others that have purchased vehicles from there, this is a common thing they do .Business response
