On 12/9/20 Robert H**** - the owner of Righteous Restoration signed a contract with us to replace our flooring, 12/24/20 He finished putting in the flooring 12/25/20 I called Robert to complain that the floors are not flush and that we see they are uneven at the seams. If we walk on the floor its "popping" He said that is normal. 9/24/21 We texted Robert again to complain the floors are literally popping out everywhere and sent pictures. 11/1/21 We reminded him no one addressed issue so he sent his guy who acknowledged that these laminate floors were NOT locked in properly throughout the whole house and worse in the kitchen, main living areas, hallways and all bedrooms. 12/21 Robert promised to send the guy to replace and redo the entire flooring, INSTEAD, they only changed about 10 planks in the kitchen . When I got home from work Robert refused to keep his word to fix the entire flooring as listed above. NOW he says " its all normal for floors to pop as its settling," We were shocked he refused to do what he promised and said that he is the expert and we are basically stupid. 2/19/22 We texted Robert to tell him the flooring that was replaced in the kitchen is NOW partially lifted about 1 cm above the seams. I personally called him to tell him its a hazard and my heels are getting caught in seams and I fell. We continued to text Robert who came by himself on 3/2/22. This time we brought a floor expert as we had been dismissed as Stupid by Robert in the past.Robert got very upset when our expert explained to him that the unevenness of the flooring and unlocking of the planks is because the floor was not prepped and the installation was not done properly. So Robert got extremely violently upset and raised his voice to let us know he will not fix the problem, He refused to acknowledge the flaws and continued to blame us for all the flooring issues. We were trying to have a civilized conversation as he RUSHED out the door.He no longer communicates - - - Righteous construction and restoration -"RCR" This company came and replaced our entire home flooring in a very haphazard manner . The floors at literally coming out within 3 months if installation but the owner continues to stall and stall . He falsely gives hope he'll redo and fix everything but has several excuses and cibtiues to delay . Now he no longer responds . The contractor RCR was notified and will not fix the problem. He has scammed us our insurance money to fix the floors . Claimed he'd come out to fix issue and keeps delaying so he can get away with it by making us wait so that we look more stupid . I no longer trust him and turning for help . Last contact with owner at RCR was in March of 2022 - now we are in August . The owner of RCR is not responding to any calls or texts. I have fallen on my knees as I've tripped over the uneven floors at the seams . I told owner about this issue and have seen my doctor for the pain and swelling I've gone thru limping around . A floor should not fall apart within 2 years of installation . This owner of RCR is very rude and disrespectful. I am turning to BBB for help to resolve issue . I've uploaded images - more detailed images as I've got several more to show what an awful job he has done and left scamming. Proper replacement was never done as he stated he would. This is my second complaint and he has not responded . Please adviseBusiness response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/03) */ Attached you will find a letter from the floor installers used to installer. 1. addressing the floors. My installer looked at the floors and stated it was do to the slab settling. But we went ahead and replaced the effected area in the kitchen. At no time did I promise to replace the entre floors in the house. It was never discussed for me to look at the floors in the entire house. 2. after replacing the floors in the kitchen installers stated home owners were happy. when they called again and said the floors were popping up and I came out to, Mrs Naheem stated she was walking around with a tool picking up on the seems to see if they would pop up. The floors are not meant for this. and in one area in the kitchen i could see where the tool had chipped one of the seems. 3. the job from day one was a mess. It was an insurance claim and it was denied. I had to fight with the insurance to get the claim approved. the owners made false statements to the insurance like stating that Mrs Naheem was a diabetic and if she cuts her foot ont the floors she could bleed out. when she hung up she told me she was not diabetic but if she was it could happen. which was a red flag to me. 4. Mr and Mrs Naheem changed the scope of work almost every day. even after we had an agreement of what to do. Every day they would add more and more work and we ended up doing way more work then what was acturally on the adjusters worksheet. but they did not want to pay for it nor for their deductible. Things added, tearing down walls, all the trim in the living room, painting haiilways and bedrooms, floors in the guest house, wood work on guest house, chimney work, cabinets being fully painted in kitchen, counters being moved, floors in the kitchen, floors in bathrooms and they did not want to pay extra for these items. My painters, the floor installers, and my cleaners which went to clean for them on christmas day told me they did not want to do work for them anynore due to how rude they were being to them. They would argue in front of me about things and they didnt agree on things and that made me uncomfortable as well. 5. at the point of literally loosing $2,800 on this job and funds still to be owed to me and my subs not wanting to work in their home I finshed what had already been stareted and told them they need to find someone else to do all the other things because I was already loosing money. They would come in and tell me contractors they need to do other things and kept adding and adding items. 6 they had around 13,000 they kept from the insurance claim, plus had me do many things not in the scope of work. 6. the claims that I got extremely violent and upset are false, I had my phone recording and all i did when his" floor expert" continue to tell me what I needed to do. My exact words were " Im not doing this" and I walked out. Mr Nahemm told me I had better not leave, and he infact raised his voice as I walked out and while outside he yelled at the front door That this wouldnt be the last I hear from him. I walked away from a toxic situation in which I did not have to be there in the first place. 7. There was no floor warranty, funds were not fully paid and in fact I lost money on the job and did way way way more then what was agreed too. Note: I can provide names and numbers to the installers and workers that did not want to do the work for them due to the manner they were being treated. In 15 Years of being a General contractor doing commercial and residential insurance claims restoration I have never had a customer treat myself and my workers in this manner. I take My name and reputation very serious. I went above and way beyond to try make them happy mainly because they were referred to me by a great customer. The issues have been addressed and due to no labor warranty, not being informed about issues other then the kitchen, and Mrs. Naheem picking at the seems with a tool. Note my first reply is still relevant. 12/9/20 there was no signed contract, and the scope of work drastically changed and increase throughout the entire job but they said I should want to do all these extra things to do a good job and please the customer and they shouldnt have to pay. 12/25/20 comment response: The phone call on christmas morning was witnessed by my wife. she was calling me to complain that My cleaners were 30 min late and that it was unacceptable and that the want to clean the new vinyl floors with a broom and not vacuum. even though moping and that the ladies would not listen to her. This is how the clean. At no time was it mentioned there was an issue with the floors. she was complaining that the job was taking to long and I tried to explain that its beacuse they continue to add and change things after agreeing to scope, for example, the door trim the felt needs to first be painted, then they wanted a new style in all interior door ways, not paid, added a counter in kitchen, first it was agreed to painted water stained areas then it was whole rooms, then because the rest of the house didnt match I should paint halls, and other not effected bedrooms, then they felt the texture was outdated and that it looks bad even though it was the texture there before, so they wanted me to re texture, wood work on guest house, floors in living and kitchen of guest house, texture and paint. and so on. She did not care and was just unhappy that it was christmas and we were just now doing clean up. 12/26/20 - this meeting was not mentioned in her notes. Me and Jeremy went to meet with them. SEE ATTACHEMTN FOR JEREMYS STATEMENT OF THIS MEETING. I informed them that after yesterdays clean up I was finished and would no longer start any more work for them. My subs did not want to work for them and were treated very rudely (can provide contacts) they complained about a few things that I still needed to do like the baseboards in the rest of the house because they are older and the new ones are a little different. I told them we would not and it wasnt agreed to. I was never paid the full amount and lost $2,800 on the job and was still owed approximately $12,000. 11/6/21 The installers obvious improvements inspected the kitchen and ATTACHED YOU WILL SEE THEIR FINDINGS. Although it was not warranty we still replced half of the kitchen floors that were effected. It was a slab issue. Mr. ****** and Matt R*****, The floor installer, left on good terms and him satisfied. His info is on attachement and can attest that Naheem was satisfied with repairs. The next Phone call I recieved in which I do have a witness that was in the truck with me was a few months later and Nahem and Mrs Kahn stated that they are concerned the rest of the floors would do the same and come apart and that They have been going around with "a tool" picking at the joints. up til this point I have tried everything to keep them happy. But I realized there was no resolution here. AT NO TIME WAS FLOORS IN THE OTHER ROOMS EVER MENTIONED TO ME. INFACT NAHEEM SAID MULTIPLE TIMES THEY WERE FINE. UNTIL THIS COMPLAINT. SEE THE PREVIOUS RESPONSE BY ME FOR THE REST OF THE DISCRIPTION. STILL MY STANCE THAT DUE TO NO WARRANTY IN EFFECT DUE TO SIGNIFICANT UN PAID BALANCES, AND THE FLOORS BEING PICKED AT WITH A TOOL My stance still stands.
