I had a terrible experience with this contractor and strongly advise against doing business with him. He originally quoted $1,800 to build a pergola and requested half the payment upfront. We agreed on a specific date and time, but he arrived 12 hours lateat 8 PM instead of 8 AM. The materials were completely wrong: rusted poles that were the wrong size, a roof that was a different color than what we agreed on, and now the pergola wobbles, shakes, and drips ******** can find his business listed on Yelp and the Better Business Bureau under Codys Covers, and its clear from other reviews that he regularly scams peoplethis is theft by deception. Despite the issues, I paid him, and he promised to return to finish the edging, but he never did. Instead, he started demanding additional payment via ***** or ***** to a random person and number. His behavior was extremely unprofessional, and I cannot recommend him for any job.Review from Joan S

No Star Review!Do Not give this man any money to start a project! He will hold both your money and project HOSTAGE!I gave him $2991.00 June 28th, 2024.Projects was scheduled fo July 8th, 2024!The evening before he Demanded an additional amount of ****** payment. My request for him was, show on the 8th and I will send the money via Zelle.He said if I didnt send that money, he would send his guy to another job, which he did!Today is Aug 26, 2024 and I have been told 5 times, we will be there Monday!Those 5 time, he didnt tell the truth!We are 7 weeks out! That is 49 days waiting!I have ask for a refund or the lumber to be delivered so I can get another contractor to do the job.All requests have been declined!My money has been Held Hostage along with my project - to replacement of my patio cover! A $5,000.00 project!I am a single woman and feel **** ****** has hijacked my money and my project!Very poor communicator!Very poor business man!Great pictures of jobs completed!I can no longer wait on him to fulfill the contract that was supposed to be started July 8th!Complaints to him do no good!!Review from Carlos M

********************* is a scammer! He stole 4250$ from me. He asked for material money and has never showed up. He wont return calls or messages. Police said he has multiple judgements against him.Review from Eva C.

The owner of this company is a scammer, he came to my home gave me a quote to do a patio cover, that was only to take him 2days, I him paid 1/2 the money, we discussed his bad reviews, he stated it was due to covid, so I gave him a chance. It's been 30 days and he has left me with an incomplete job to my patio on my home. He will not answer or return any calls. He's been $3375, due to he came out to finish the job and didn't have all the materials and now my patio is still not done. ****'s Patio Covers owner is not a trust worthy business man...Please do not use this companyReview from Roy C

**** gave me a quote for $2200. For a **** patio cover. He came out one and made some measurements and said it was 12x18. Two weeks later he comes out to install and he finds out that the top is 12 x 19 1/4. To fix his error he started moving slates that I had another builder do. Making the slates uneven space, to make up for his error in measurements. The undercover was put in and he made several s**** holes that were seen from below. The patio was stained before he touch it and now I have spots that are not strained due to him moving the slats. I told him not to move them but he said the agreement was for a 12x18 which was the wrong measurements. He is very rude and does not listen to customer. He expects the customer to pay for his errors. I have documented the shady work he has done.The cover up of his error he called an upgrade.Review from Juan A.

Total Scammer, I hire ****************************** to do a patio for me and gave him half up front per contract agreement and he never showed up. Now he refuses to be served so that we can take this matter to court. I do not recommend hiring Cody's Covers for patio needs. From the looks of it it's not his first complaint.
