TeleCalm has worked great for my mom since she moved into an assisted living/memory care facility. The phone service has been quite reliable, and when we've had minor issues, their customer service has been great to troubleshoot and fix the problem. TeleCalm requires no landline ***** nor even the internet/WiFi. It works off of its own modem, which they send to you. Easy set up. It's nice that I can set up approved callers, which blocks any unapproved callers (i.e. solicitors) from calling her. And with the app on my phone, I can see who has called her. And it costs less than her **** landline did at her last place.teleCalm Response

What a much needed service! Nowadays elders are hounded by scamsters day and night, and apparently that's legal (smaller government, good for business, so the idiots claim). During one ******** enrollment period, her insurance changed four times, just from cold-callers getting her to answer "yes" on a recorded line.All in the past now -- only her friends can call her, and yet she has a phone she can use and gets and makes calls to family which is so lovely for her peace of mind. My mom is in her 70s and she was getting so many scam/spam calls! I tried to coach her to not answer the phone if she didn't recognize the number, but without any luck. After having fraudulent charges that required us to get her a new credit card twice, as well as receiving multiple packages of durable medical equipment she did not need that was billed to ********* I started researching options. Because she has a landline, has had the same number for years, and was not interested in changing numbers, there were not a lot of options. I looked at phones that would have a trusted caller list on them, but they only allowed for a small number of contacts. Then one day I was talking to an options counselor at our Aging and *************************** and she told me about Telecalm. It seemed like the answer to my prayers! I liked that she was able to keep her number, and I am able to see all the calls that come in and go out. If I see that she called the bank, or the doctor's ******* I can check with her to make sure there isn't a problem. It was very eye opening when I would look at the log of calls and see that some days she would get upwards of 80 calls. Out of those, there were maybe 4 or 5 that were contacts. All the rest were blocked. I love that people not in her contact list can leave a message, but only I as the caregiver have access. I have gotten several voicemails saying my mom won the lottery, that I am very convinced she would have fallen for. This system has really given me peace of mind, and the cost is equal or less than what her landline service was prior. I can't recommend it enough!teleCalm Response

Fantastic company. Product performs as claimed, and good customer support. It's a pretty amazing product insofar that it does not require the hardware of landlines, cable, Wi-Fi, or even, the internet, just a decent area for an available cell phone signal!The ability for a care giver to control access to a love one with cognitive decline by means of their home telephone eliminates telemarketers and scammers from in-coming and out-going calls. My love one went from over 100+ daily phone calls from telemarketers and scammers to ZERO, and no more unwanted 5 a.m. phone calls trying to sell something!The call quality being as good as a traditional landline, as well. Easy to set-up, and the love one won't notice the difference between a traditional landline and the TeleCalm device as their using the same phone they have always used.I really have nothing but praise for this company and it's product.teleCalm Response

Telecalm has been a lifesaver for my mom and for me her daughter and caregiver. She has dementia and still is able to live on her own and was receiving a ridiculous amount of scam phone calls per day. She was giving out personal information to scammers and it was scary. She also jumps whenever the phone rings and it would start early in the am and continue all day. With Telecalm I can be rest assured that she isn't being scammed and also she isn't just calling people to do things whenever she wants. I am able to see on the app who has called her and I get to put in the app who she is able to call. She lives in a bad cell phone reception area but we were able to hardwire the telecalm box into the modem so it works through the internet. This has been a godsend!!! I have been using the teleCalm service for about a year now. I researched and found this service to help with an elderly parent who was constantly getting scam calls. The service works great as there are no more scam calls! The service allows you to screen incoming/outgoing calls through an app that allows you to view the call history. Any incoming/outgoing calls for numbers that have not been entered into the system's trusted contact list are not allowed to connect. While it takes some time and effort to enter trusted contacts into the system, it is well worth the effort for the piece of mind it gives you.teleCalm Response

Telecalm has been the best thing we have done to protect my parents who live in their own home and are 90 and 93. They both were continually falling for scammers and we had several instances where they were signing away their life savings for someone that had called them about a get-rich-quick or impending disaster. We started using Telecalm a few years ago and their life changed. They were getting 15+ calls a day from scammers and now none of them can get to them. The mail and email are still problems but nothing was as insidious as the phone calls on their landline. I rave about the service and am thankful everyday I listen to the all of the scammers on the app that never reach my parents. Thank you, Telecalm!teleCalm Response

I got teleCalm for my husband when he was in Assisted Living after he lost his Jitterbug phone. I wanted something that was too big to lose and would stop all the unwanted scam calls. They would call and leave a number and he would call them back. Also, the facility wanted much more money to have a phone in his room. Then when he was moved to *********** they weren't allowed phones in the rooms. But since teleCalm is not hooked up to anything at the facility and only used **** he was allowed to have it. He would be very upset if he couldn't talk to me several times a day. I bought the picture phone to go along with it and all he has to do is push the button with my picture on it. This was the best decision I made to be able to talk to him and not worry about him talking to anyone else. TeleCalm has been very supportive every step of the way.teleCalm Response

telCalm has been a life saver. Before my mom went into Assisted Living she was living alone in her 90s. She got a phone call from Publishers Clearing House (so she thought). We had cameras in the house to keep tabs on her safety. While watching her one day on the phone we heard her giving out all sorts of personal information out to Publishers Clearing House. They told her she had won 1 million dollars and a Porsche. They wanted all her banking information and her social security number which she gladly gave to them. Along with her address also for the delivery. We contacted the police and a neighbor went over to get her off the phone with them. They did keep calling back that day and we informed the company the police have been notified of the situation. This phone prevents her from getting these calls. Since she has been at Assisted Living she has received those same winning calls which I have a recording of since they cannot get through to her any longer. This is great for older adults who have dementia and do not really know any better. I give this teleCalm 120%.teleCalm Response
