On 6/24/2023 I paid $200.00 dollars down on a bedroom set. Several days later I spoke with the manager and he informed me that I would need to pay more money before they would deliver me the product. I told him this information was not shared with me when I made my initial down payment of $200.00. He became upset and difficult to communicate with from that moment on. Therefore I told him I want my $200.00 refunded. He said he was not able to do this because his manager was out of the country and would not be back for another month. He also said I should just come in [AGAI N] so we could talk. I asked him if he would PLEASE refund me my money immediately, he said no. I am asking if you could please have ***** refund me my $200.00 immediately. Thank you.Business response

The customer chose to do a layaway plan which consist of ***** days to pay off the merchandise. After you pay the merchandise you can schedule delivery or pick up the product. But like we explained to the customer if she wanted to take the merchandise home she would have to do finance where we would have to run a credit application see if shes approved and then if she is and accepts the terms she could get it delivered.Customer response

Dear BBB,
H &M told me that the ***** day layaway plan is only activated once a contract is signed. I never signed the contract because 2 days after I paid them $200.00 I called and ask if they could provide me with a picture of the product. They refused to do this and became angry and avoided my telephone calls. Subsequently I went by there and tried to resolve the issue by offering to purchase 2 comforter sets that valued appropriately $180.00 total. I felt that this would resolve the dispute in that I would have received something for the $200.00 that I paid them. They refused this offer and said no, "we are not giving you anything". Please keep in mind I never signed a contract with them, AND I contacted them within the "appropriate time-******** days later, letting them know I was not pleased that they could not provide me with a photo of the product that I was planning to get. There were no deadlines missed on my part to receive my $200.00 back.
I will be satisfied if H & M would refund me my $200.00 or allow me to purchase something from them of this value. In other words give me a $200.00 store credit.

He sold me a bed set for 1995$. He sent wrong bed set and mis matched night stands and chest of drawer. He is not willing to take it back w/o restocking fee or exchange for another bed set. Told me to get out of the store as i am talking too much. He has refused to work with me or deliver the correct bed set. He doesnt want to refund either. He asked me to pay him again for shipping n delivery even though they sent wrong items. When i placed the order - he called me next day and said he doesn't have the correct night stands . Do i want another set. I said no . Just refund the money. He said no i will find right night stands and send it to you.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2022/10/21) */ The customer received exactly what they ordered based off the style number that we had listed on the invoice. Customer claimed it wasn't the same color/style we sent one of our guys out there to check it out and it was the exactly what he ordered. The customer also came to the store and threatened the employees and actually assaulted one of the employees and destroyed property inside of the store. We actually pressed charges on this customer for destruction of property and assault. The customer was being very rude and very aggressive towards us. We also have a signed invoice showing the customer received their merchandise in an appropriate manner. Consumer Response /* (3000, 9, 2022/10/24) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This is a total lie . They never sent any one out to see if its the correct merchandise. Any one can come and see the mismatch furniture any time. I have pictures and the boxes still which shows different number and companies. The bed is from one company and night stands from another. He even acknowledged that the company sent email that they sent mismatched stuff. If they sent some one to check - can they tell which room is the furniture in or how the house looks like from inside. This is all lie n stories. The other lie is assault and being aggressive. I didn't threaten any one or assaulted any employee . I know they filed complaint against me but i told the officer the exact same thing. They should provide video or doctor exam report for assault or damage. This is all fabricated. I just want them to either refund the money n take away the bed set or replace with the one that was actually promised.
