My boyfriend and I visited Granbury RV Resort looking for a camper to rent and staying that we would be renting the spot for several months. The camper promised to us was given to another person but the property manager assured us she would give us a better camper at the same rate but that the refrigerator was not working. We were told it would be available in a few days and check back in. After 3 weeks we returned and asked if we could just supply our own refrigerator until the new one came in. After the ** spoke to the owners they agreed. We were charged $1000 for a month rental and $200 deposit with a list of conduct and guest expectations. Our second payment was due on Tuesday 9/6/22 and when we went to make our payment after getting in from work, we found all of our stuff packed in bags in the office. The ** stated that she had asked the neighbors who said that they havent seen us despite us living there and that they had already rented our camper to someone else. So they evicted us without notice and without grounds to do so, went through our personal property without consent, would not allow us back in our camper to check if anything was left behind, the ** would not give me the number to the owners who she blamed for the situation, and has yet to refund my $200. We were without housing and the owners did not attempt to put us in one of their empty campers saying the owners say we do not currently have any campers available but we can put you on a waiting list. I am not sure if this is just bad business or actually illegal. This place is not a resort, there is standing water that smells like sewage and long term residents in Dilapidated rvs living in filth. Very unsanitary.
