Anyone planning a remodel this is just a caution to do some research on your contractor. We had heard good things from others in our neighborhood that had used Gudino and Son’s. Our experience was not the best. I would advise strongly against using Miguel ******* We were told demo would start on June 19th. No one showed up that day. Miguel texted me and stated his guys might have had too many beers the night before. Over the next 2-3 weeks work proceeded. The shower pan was done and the shower was tiled. The bathroom was painted. But there were plenty of delays. Guys not showing up when we were told people would be here. This was a constant issue. We felt like we were being squeezed in between other jobs and not a priority. I told Miguel from the very beginning to get us on his schedule and not “squeeze” us in between other jobs but it was obvious we were being squeezed in between other jobs. Issues: People not showing up when we were told they would on MULTIPLE days. Job was on 7th week of what was quoted as a 2-3 week job. All materials I was to provide were on hand and not a cause of any work delays. Shelves not painted…Holes not patched that were supposed to be. POOR paint job with numerous touch ups needed. Vanity cabinet/shelves not correct and had to be changed out. Shelf unit for vanity has not been provided as was to be provided. Miguel has ultimately abandoned the job. Failing to meet in person to look at the numerous issues and work together to reasonably resolve the issues. He has instead took money and is basically not trustworthy, unethical, and ultimately now a thief by failing to complete the job. Shower drain leaks/done incorrectly. Poor communication from Miguel. Failure to update us when people would be showing up. Had people show up with no notice & over the 4th of July holiday. WE had to reach out to him to ask for updates on when things were scheduled instead of him letting us know. EXTREMELY poor planning. Miguel ultimately abandoned the job.
