I purchased a suit for #355.06 at Jos A Bank on 9.22.2022. The next day, I received an email from them stating the exact suit was on sale for 100 dollars off. I called and spoke with Alejandro (call is recorded) and he said he would apply the 100 dollar refund to my card. I checked my account a few days later and there was no refund. I called Jos A Bank and spoke with a rep who stated, "Alejandro submitted the refund request, but it's up to the store to determine if they will refund you". I could have returned the entire suit on 9.23 if this were the case. I expect the refund I was told I would receive. I would like my 100 dollar refund, immediately.Initial Complaint

I purchased a 3 piece suit from Jos A. Bank located at 144 S West Shore Blvd on July 16 2022 for my upcoming wedding in March of 2023. The sales experience was good, and the suit I purchased was reasonably priced below $300. Once the transaction was completed, I was informed that they would keep the suit to alter/hem the pants, and that I could pick up the suit shortly after. I picked up my suit 1-2 weeks later. When I went home to try it on, the pants were not altered/hemmed to my liking. In addition, I had found another suit that was more desirable from a different vendor. In August of 2022, I returned to the store with the unused suit and requested a return as both the receipt and the Jos A. Bank website advises that a customer can return merchandise within 90 days. I was informed by store management that I cannot return a suit once it’s been altered. I advised that this was not noted on the receipt or on any documents provided/available, and I also pointed out that neither the jacket nor the vest had been worn or altered. The manager refused to process a return for any items advising that there is nothing they can do even though the only item of clothing that was hemmed/altered were the pants. I contacted Jos A. Bank customer service and they advised of same noting that returned suits are only processed “under management discretion”. I am looking for Jos A. Bank to process the return and refund of $282.70 for my unused 3 piece suit or the return and refund of $269.70 for the unused AND un-tailored jacked and vest.Initial Complaint

I bought a suit less than 6 months ago. After it got wet the suit shrunk in parts and now it has ripped without being caught on anything or me doing something to rip it. I own several suits and get almost all my suits exclusively from JAB. Usually, it takes a few years before it wears out and rips. There is something wrong with this specific suit that this happened. I have already ordered more suits from them this week. I am hoping this is not a new issue with the quality of the suits being downgraded. I am looking for the suit to be replaced.Initial Complaint

On January 4, 2022 I ordered three pair of pants from this company. They debited my checking account for the purchase on this date. Then on January 5, 2022 Joseph A. Banks cancelled out a $100 gift certificate given to me at Christmas and debited my checking account for a little over $58 (totaling $158) for THE SAME PURCHASE. When I attempted to resolve this issue with customer service they denied that a gift certificate had been cancelled out and said that the $58 was a 20% rebate given me because a previous order had been cancelled by their computer system. For $58 to have been a rebate the purchase would have had to total close to $300. I was then accused of attempting to defraud J.A. Banks. I have had it with this company.
