Purchased a long block motor from this company December 2nd. $5629.00 $4000 for the motor $1200 for a core charge Plus tax I returned my core motor in person in late January. I have not heard any response from the company I have called several time about my core charge. They say the owner handles that and they can’t do anything. They lied to me said he was in surgery, the next day another employee says “ he is a very busy man. He has lots of clients.” As if I wasn’t one of those clients and when I confronted him about the employee who said he was in surgery the day before all of a sudden the owner was resting because of the surgery. Very sketchy. I am about ready to drive the 200 miles it is to the shop and wait until I get an explanation. They owe me my core fee. They have completely stopped answering the phones when I call now too.Initial Complaint

I purchased an engine, which was delivered. I then shipped my old engine for a core charge return (as per the contract I signed). They have had my old engine for over four weeks and will not respond to texts, phone calls, or emails. They owe me $1,200.Customer response

On Jan 21 of 2022 I put half down on a motor and have still recieved nothing but "the runaround." I put $2475.00 down on a motor and they said it would be ready in 3-4 weeks. After week 3 I called to see the status and they tried to say that I had ordered the motor on the 26th and the motor would be ready when they said. I said no it was the 21st, but since they said it would be 3-4 weeks I let it go. I called week 4 and they said they would give me a number to text! to text for updates. so I texted it and got the same girl! Why couldn't she just tell me? For the next several MONTHS I have given the same runaround and I asked for my money back. As may be expected, they are doing the same on the money. The owner himself can be assured that this kind of business will not get him a good name, but he has avoided me with his texting system and his answering girl now for 3 going on 4 months! I asked for a refund on April 18. The owner said he would have the money "the Friday after next" which would be April 30th 2022. I called to see why I haven't head from them and again the girl told me he will call me back! I asked when and she told me he is busy! I have had enough. Please help me resolve this situation, I would like a full refund for the $2475.00 without excuses or delay anymore! Thank you.Business response

I purchased a motor from this company last year in March and I have yet to have a running truck. They sent me a motor weeks after they originally told me it would be sent out. After the bed motor was installed it was nothing but problems and the shop I had do the work tested the truck again to find out the head gaskets where blown on the motor. The owner agreed to send me a new motor after cussing me out about how it wasn't his fault there were issues. I now have the new motor that came 2 weeks ago but it did not have the correct parts that it was suppose to have. I sent back the old motor in November and I didn't received the new motor until March 1st even though it was suppose to be sent out as soon as the old one arrived. I also never received any of the 1800 dollar core charge that they charged me until my original motor was received. Which the original motor was sent back to them a shortly after I received my first motor from them. They will not cover any labor costs for anything even my shop I have the truck at having to install the parts that they didn't install like they where suppose to. I have read reviews that this has happened to other people as well and I don't want it to continue to happen to more people.Business response

I PURCHASED AND ENGINE FROM THIS SCAM ARTIST AND IT WAS A MISTAKE. AFTER ARRIVING 3 MONTHS LATE IT WAS CLEARLY NOT WHAT I PAID FOR. BETWEEN THE HEADS BEING CRACKED AND NOT ONE GASKET BEING INCLUDED (WHICH I PAID FOR) THE ENGINE WOULD NEVER HAVE WORKED AND FAILED A PRESSURE TEST LEAKING COOLANT ALL OVER THE ENGINE. I SENT IT BACK TO TEXAS TO THEM AND NEVER RECIEVED ANY REFUND AS PROMISED. THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.Business response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.
All I can see is some attached pdfs of the receipts I signed. What is the businesses actual response? I have paid 5,000 and have no engine.Business response

I purchased a 6.6L LBZ Duramax complete rebuilt long block from MTZ engine rebuilders. Once it was installed found that the engine had a bad ticking sound. Chago, the owner of MTZ, was so confident that it wasn’t MTZ’s fault, he agreed to pay for half the labor, shipping, and all the parts needed if it was MTZ’s fault. They found that the engine had bad lifters, which Chago said were all replaced, and the cylinders were honed again. The second time the engine was installed, the tick was even worse. MTZ has been unable to provide me with a rebuilt engine that I paid for. He also only gave me $720 of my $1500 core charge, stating that the cam and 1 head were not useable and he couldn’t give me full credit for my core charge. The engine was always ran with full synthetic oil and never lost oil pressure. I don’t see how the cam could be bad, or the head for that mater. The owner of MTZ has changed his phone number, will not return any of my calls and will not pay me for anything that I am owed. I just want my money back plus half the labor and all of the parts cost that it took to pull the engine out and reinstall it for a second time. I won’t even ask him for the rest of my core money back. After dealing with this for a year, last week, I just want to move on and never speak to MTZ again.Business response
