Brent Greer with Stewart Title in Harlingen TX was the title company handling the transaction of a property sale in Harlingen and the buyers back out of the deal at the last moment. There was non-refundable deposit in the signed contact. Brent Greer is still holding the money that should sent to the sellers.

I’ve worked with multiple title companies but this Stewart Title agency located at 500 Broadway, St Louis, MO has the most incompetent employees I’ve ever seen. If I could leave a zero star I would. They have no sense of urgency whatsoever and do not bother answering customer requests. The phone numbers listed on their signatures do not work so you are bound to communicate via email only. They’re not responsive and ask repetitive questions over and over, you’d wonder if they even take the time to read your responses. This “curative specialist” asked me for payoff quotes multiple times and from the wrong lenders despite the fact I already sent her the quotes that I had to already order twice due to delays inflicted by them and the fact that I told her that the servicing agency changed. I sent her evidence that the property liens from the previous owners were already removed as soon as she requested and two weeks later, she was still asking for the same thing, wasting everyone’s time. She “cleared to close” on 12/9 and today 12/16, they have yet to close or even provide an approximate date despite the fact that I told them that I had another transaction depending on this one so time was of essence. Nothing legitimate is outstanding at this point to put a hold on the close, even the lender has no idea what’s happening. This is putting me in financial hardship and is so uncalled for. Do not use this company if you want your transaction to close on time.
