In Sept. 2022 McCarty Electric gave me a bid for a whole house generator. As I was collecting other bids ***** McCarty called and reminded us we needed to but by the end of September to receive "the really good warranty" from generac. This warranty was for 10 years and was free if purchased by the end of September (the warranty flier said this was a $1035.00 value). We signed the contract on Sept. 13th 2022. ***** McCarty said there would be an approximately 6 week wait for the generator to be installed. I had to contact them numerous times in October and November asking why there was no generator installed. The comapny repeatedly lied to me giving me different excuses, that the generator was in, then it was not in, that they had to fire employees, that the office ******* quit etc. The generator was not installed until December 27th 2022. Per the warranty the generator had to be installed by 12/4/22 to meet the requirements of the extended warranty. I have made repeated calls the McCarty Electric asking them to get me the extended warranty which was denied because of the installation date. ***************************** said I threatened his officer ******* by telling her this was a bait and switch. I called Generac who told me the claim was denied because it was installed after 12/4/22. ***************************** says I did not request the extended warranty and that is why it was denied. I have had 2 telephone calls with ************************ who assured me the claim was denied due to date of install. McCarty Electric should have known this Generator needed to be installed by 12/4/22 because he was using it as a sales tool. I believe McCarty Electric should purchase the extended warranty for me now to make this situation right.Business response
