Signed Contract and paid a $5000 deposit 4-12-2024 for the replacement of a shingle roof with a metal roof Work done on 6-22-2024 paid a balance of $17,550 Noticed a problem on the east side of the house where the edge was jagged and not secured properly to the roof. Contacted my sales rep ***** ******* that day and sent pictures. She acknowledged that they had problems on that side and that they would come out to improve it.07-17-2024 I got in contact again as I had not heard back and they promised to make things right.07-22-2024 it rained and I saw that there also were problems with the roof over my patio where water was coming in like a waterfall. They said "oh no ***** (installer) would be out that day. They came out a couple of days later saw the problems and said they would make it right 08-07-2024 I texted to find out where we stood and I was told that the "metal guys had made some new panels and they would install them that Sunday"08-10-2024 they dropped off said panels and installed them.08-13-2024 sent pictures to Brook showing that the on panel was still not connected correctly leaving essentially a hole in my roof. Brook responded saying they have never had such a problem and how much she cared.09-13-2024 I text to ask what was happening 09-19-2024 they text to say they may have found a solution 09-20-2024 I text back and say "sounds great"10-07-2024 I still have not heard a word. The day of install they had a massive amount of panels that were not used which they took away. The response to that was that I did not pay for those. This response was the only one where it was a phone call not a message. All of the above can be verified through copies of the messages and checks written.I also should mention that they list on their website that the business address is ********************************************************************. I went there and there is a building that has a sign for 7 businesses not a one of them Good News Roofing. Thank you for your help.Business response

Dear *** ****,
At the time of writing this response, the issue mentioned in your complaint has been resolved. We apologize for the time it took to resolve this matter for you. We were in an unprecedented busy time as a company as damage was extensive from a massive hail storm in May. The particular issues with your roof were also very unique to the construction of your roof, and we had truly not run into a situation like this before. It took some time to brainstorm, research, and confer with others with specialty equipment necessary to make modifications. Our crew was also working full weeks and long hours, making it difficult to get our installer there as well.
You, and your business are extremely important to us, and we regret deeply any possibility of making you feel that getting your work done was not our top priority. The issues with your roof were, again, unique, and cosmetic in nature, and because of the way the roof was installed, there was no possibility of it leaking into your home. The water coming down at the patio cover, which we discussed when we came the first time to look at your concerns with the roof, was water coming down the metal roof, and channeling onto the fascia board. There was nothing constructed improperly on your roof to cause this, it merely is the way water travels. Our suggestion was guttering this area to allow the water to be diverted into the gutter, rather than coming down the fascia.
We hope that with the issues addressed, you are well pleased with your completed project and feel well satisfied with our work.
Sincerely,
Good News Roofing

******************* had us come out and look at his roof that had blown off shingles from wind storm, we also at that time did several emergency tarps to protect his home and he called in an insurance claim with usaa. The adjuster came out and approved the roof replacement and wrote the initial scope of work/estimate at $16,404.95.
There were several items we needed that were not on the initial scope of work, such as our tarping charges, valley metal and ridge cap shingles-we supplemented to usaa for those and they approved and added them to the claim
******************* approved the work and signed the proposal for the work at $16,404.95 Plus supplements (Document attached)
Usaa approved the missing items and supplement was added in the amount of $2477 to the $16,404.95 for a total of $18,881.95 for the roof work
We replaced the roof and sent off the final invoice to usaa, they released the final amount of $4450.71 and sent it to ******************* -(email from usaa showing this sent is attached)
******************* paid his deductible of $3120 and the first usaa payment of $11,311.24 leaving a balance due of $4450.71 (cumulative invoice attached)
We sent ******************* an ach payment link, he then sent me an email saying we are overcharging, and other things such as his dog cut his paw, roof water killed his plants etc.
We finished his roof replacement on may 10th and have not been made aware of any issues. Not until it has come time to pay his final ****.
I offered to take care of any issues or pet bills. I think there may be no such issues as he has not responded to my offer
******************* has received the amount he owes us from usaa of $4450.71 and is simply refusing to pay us. There is clearly a balance due
As a long standing member of the bbb with zero complaints anywhere including ****** i would appreciate this false review being removed and any help in collecting this significant amount due would be appreciated
