I purchased a black 2000 wrangler in August 2023 which was sold "as is" with a rusted frame. The frame cracked in January 2024 while driving on the highway, in traffic. I called the manager to let him know if they could do anything, but was told they had no liability and it was sold as is. I purchased this in August and it lasted me until January, 5months. My real complaint is, when it cracked it seemed that the frame was layered with what looked like POR-15 to try and make it look as if there was less rust than what it actually had. The dealership did have me sign a waiver addressing the rust to avoid liability, but I didn't expect it to be an issue since it didn't look as bad. I was going to take legal action but was told since signing the waiver I would most likely not have a case. Once purchased, it had to be at their shop for multiple visits within the month, and was asked if I got an oil change already since the filter was a different one then the ones they use (I hadn't) leading me to be-lieve nothing was looked at nor fixed up before being sold to the public. I shopped here because I thought they had quality jeeps, but was wrong. Select Jeeps is way overpriced, I paid $14,000 for a 2000 wrangler with 184K miles, and when I called select jeeps to see if they could offer me a trade-in in December (because nobody wanted to do a lift on it) they offered me $4,000. These details are my own experience and don't want to come off as a bitter customer but in the end... I did lose a lot of money by shopping here.

Again Jose we are sorry this ended up a problem for you. As mentioned you and your father were aware of the rust and it was to our understanding you were panning to make some repairs. We did not try to hide the rust concern and it was one of the first things we mention to you. As any 20+ year old vehicle they don't come with a warranty yet soon after the purchase it did end up having a leak at the steering gear box which we repaired at no cost to you and with the AC we treated you fairly on. In December we gave you a trade range of $4,500-$7,000. We do appreciate you explaining yourself in detail and taking some responsibility. At Select Jeeps we do our best to treat every customer respectfully and with honest representation of our vehicles.

I do have another concern, why delete my review & block my Google account from leaving any future review to skew your rating system? This doesn't seem very ethical. I saw that others were having problems with theirs jeeps after purchasing. My review is probably one of many being deleted or blocked by select jeeps to have a favorable public review.
