Urban Air uses a deceptive practice by making it intentionally difficult to cancel a subscription. Likewise, they put in small print on a document that is not paper to read or made clear when you join, that it is a 12-month contract. Even after being forced to pay for the 12 months whether the membership was found to be worthwhile or not, they use a well-known practice of manipulating consumers into paying for subscriptions that they dont want by giving them no options to cancel. If someone does not spend hours of time researching, scouring the website that offers no cancelation, calling and demanding to speak to different people, the membership just continues to be charged.Their membership agreement goes into detailed terms about all the ways you cant cancel a membership, ie. by telephone, mail, email, fax and if you try to cancel in person at the location, they refuse to cancel and tell you the only way to cancel is at the link in the agreement. There is no misunderstanding what you cant do! I tried to cancel by calling, going to the location, and was forced to try to dissect the legal agreement to figure out a way. The agreement goes on to say membership may only be cancelled as described in this agreement, but the agreement then does not describe any means to cancel, other than you can cancel your membership any time online at www.urbanairmembership.com. If you go to that link, there is absolutely no option to cancel a membership and even the *** section gives no instructions whatsoever. It only has a Q & A, "Is it hard to cancel a membership? And the answer says, "No, you may cancel any time after making your 12th payment". But, gives no details on how that can be accomplished. This is a blatant attempt to force people to continue paying because they are legally obligated, and provided no means of cancellation.Continued on attached statement.
