Closed on a house purchase on May 26th, 2022. House was delivered to the community on May 31st, 2022. Took from 6/1/2022 to 7/7/2022 to obtain permits and final inspection because of multiple disinformation on the part of the community and Palm Harbor. After installation of the utilities, (water, sewer, electricity), there was an apparent water leak under the house, and this was told to the community property manager, who said she notified Palm Harbor and the contractors via email. Today is the 14th of July and the water leak has not been corrected as yet. The HVAC had to be moved to another spot because the allotted place was inconvenient since it was going to be at the bottom of the steps of the back door. That was going to mean moving the control box to the new spot as the A/C unit. I was told that both water and A/C issues would have been taken care of by Thursday the 14th. That was not the case. I informed them from the 11th of July that I had plans to move into my house by the end of this week. My arrangements were made for the 15th of July and there is still no water on at the house. These people (the community and Palm Harbor) do not care a hoot about anybody but themselves. It did not phase any of them that I had plans to move into my house on the 15th. They are the most inconsiderate, uncaring, callous people I have had to deal with, and this is my fourth time buying a house so far. Palm Harbor wanted me to pay to have the control box for the HVAC moved, just as they wanted me to pay an additional $2000.00 for them to build a deck that was in accordance with the community rules. the community itself charged me prorated rent for the lot even before I closed on the house and before it was delivered to the park/community. I feel like I have been ripped off by both companies.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/01) */ We strive to give the customer a clear expectation on move in times and delays that can occur. We stated this on page two of the customers Earnest Money contract " Palm Harbor cannot guarantee a move in date" the reason being is for possible delays and contractor schedules that can go sideways. I apologized several times to the customer for this and worked with our team to get this handled. As of right now everything is completed. I do apologize again for the time it took to get her moved into her New home . We had a few extra challenges there at the end but are now resolved . We did agree to pay for the ac disconnect box being moved a new requirement by the Community. I let Ms. ******* know technically this overage would be her responsibility but in the interest of Customer service I agreed to pay for it. We also agreed to pay for the $2000 deck before closing which was required by the community that the Customer chose to work with The customer was refusing to close until we took care of this charge for the deck. Contractually both items were the responsibility of the Customer, but we did have a goal to make Ms. ******* Happy. Consumer Response /* (2000, 7, 2022/08/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) I am in my house. No more doing business with these people.
