In September of 2024 I had a nail in my front right passenger tire. So I went and had the tire fixed. Upon them fixing the tire the place where I went told me that I had an oil leak and asked me where had I been getting my car fixed? I told them Toyota dealership. I was asked if I was told that I had an oil leak and I said no. So I was due some brakes and tire rotation on my vehicle. Made an appointment on November 11th. 2024 at Toyota ********* in *********, **. Once I got there I asked them if they could check and see where the oil was leaking from. After waiting 4 and 1/2 hours at the dealership they told me that I needed a timing cover seal and that the cost would be $4,000. So I asked if I had a factory warranty on the car and they said no. So I'll be getting researching to see if there was a recall on that seal. It's a recall on the seal, but not for 2019 Toyota Camry. I am very frustrated and angry to know the problem exist but not for the make and model of the year that I have. I always knew that Toyota were good cars and that's why I purchased the car. If I hadn't known that there was an oil leak issue with the Toyota. I wouldn't have never purchased it. That's a lot of money for me to have to come out of my pocket to get my car fixed when you all know that there is a issue with the timing cover seal. Whether or not The vehicle is a 2019 or 2024. It shouldn't matter. As long as there was an issue with the timing cover seal, no matter what the year is, I feel that Toyota needs to fix my car. I am very upset and would like to see Toyota fix my car because I really like the car. You all know you have a problem and issue with the timing cover seal and I would like for you all fix my car free of charge. I paid a lot of money for the car.Review from Andrea M

I have had a lemon law buy back claim in with Lexus (started in June 2024).the sole lexus dealer in my state will not fix my issues. My buy back claim was transferred to the Lexus western division nearly 60 days ago. I provided all information to them only to never be contacted again. Lexus/Toyota will not answer my emails or calls. Toyota/Lexus has horrible customer service. I regret buying a ******************************!Review from Elizabeth B

Today marks the 3rd time in 3 weeks Ive had to take my 2021 Toyota rav4 hybrid into the dealership with a check engine light. The second time it was the coolant bypass hose/valve that is a known issue with these models that Toyota refuses to recall. Today, another check engine light with the electrical components of the vehicle which also seems to be a common issue among this make and model that Toyota refuses to recall. There is a class action lawsuit for this issue. Toyota used to be a well-respected company and now I dont trust them. I will be trading in my vehicle for something else, and who knows if Ill ever trust buying another Toyota.Review from Thomas I

Purchased new 2024 Corolla on 8/9/24. Toyota online app continues to be dysfunctional. Despite uninstalling and re installing I get outdated information on tire pressure. Remote features like starting do not work. When I attempt them I receive a remote activation error message on my phone. Solely because of this I intend to trade this vehicle in because of non responsive customer service in an attempt to resolve it and my fear this technical deficiency will not be isolated. Especially since my recent *********, Dodge and **** remote applications were void of the Toyota app problems.Review from Akira L

I moved states and have been trying to get a copy of my title for the dmv for 5 months. Every single time I called I was told that they sent it out and to just wait. Most recently when I was waiting on a physical copy I was told I would receive it on the 16th. I called on the 17th to find out it has just shipped out. I was told to wait 7-10 business days. I never received it. I had also requested an electronic copy about 5 times. Every time I was told to wait on the email. It never came through and yes I checked my spam. I was always told to wait 24 hours for the emails that never came through. The *** also faxed them requesting the records. After threatening to get a lawyer involved after 5 months of trying to get SOMETHING literally anything to get this vehicle registered they finally sent the email magically while I was still on the phone with them. The employees seem like theyre trained to just brush off customers and ask for more time. Turns out after talking to so many people not a single one of them actually submitted anything. So Ive been paying a bill for a vehicle I legally cannot drive for 5 months. Its absolutely appalling how a corporation as big as Toyota has such pathetic customer service. People move all of the time, this wasnt a weird request. To say that their employees need to be retrained is an understatement. Fire them all and maybe hire people who passed the 8th grade. Sad to say I would rather take a public bus than ever purchase a vehicle through Toyota ever again.Review from Walter W

I received a notice of a safety recall 16 months ago for my vehicles airbags. I have not been notified that the repair can't be completed for another 12 months for a total of 28 months. This is far too long for a manufacturer to take to make necessary repairs to a safety issue.Review from Bart S

Toyota Corporate wouldn't honor the Labor Day discount they pulled out from under me. Thu 9/5/24 I ordered a part online for my mother's van using her credit card (and address) which was declined. Not wanting to retype all the same information, I used my credit card (and a different address), initially the order was placed and accepted and even received a confirmation email. Not concerned with anything, I neglected to check my email the entire weekend. By Tuesday 9/10/24, I hadn't received any text messages on the delivery status and I checked my credit card app and noticed that my purchase on 9/5 was credited back to me on the 9/6. I reordered the part at that time confident that they would honor the discount.Review from Lauren D

My husband and I purchased a 2014 Corolla in 2020 and shortly after in 2021 the white paint started peeling. We took it into a dealership for a battery to be switched out and mentioned it to the dealership, and they stated it was a factory known issue, but did not give a solution. Fast-forward to recently, we found out that there was in fact, a warranty campaign being done for the paint on the car, however when I called corporate, they stated that the warranty on our particular car expired July 30 of 2024. When we asked why we were not notified of this campaign going on us typically when manufacturers have any kind of recall or campaign they send a notice to the consumer, they state that they sent two letters, one and 2019 and one in December 20 20. When asked about the address that they were sent to, the second one was sent to the previous owners and not us. However, by the time they had sent the notice we had already owned the vehicle for about three months. When asked why we were not sent the notice and said it was sent over to the previous owner, Toyota admitted that that was negligence on their part as the *** has it updated through public record however, decided to not give any resolution to the issue or make a exception for the paint peeling since it was technically out of warranty. Then the remediation specialist hung up on me after telling me that there is nothing else he can do. Please do not buy it from Toyota! My husband and I have sworn off Toyota as future vehicles due to the negligence and lack of help from them for this issue.Review from Lori D

I purchased a 2023 Toyota Corolla LE in September of 2023. Shortly after purchasing I had a number of serious trouble codes, issues with the *** and front end suspension issues that have not been repaired as of September 2024.The manufacturer refuses to acknowledge, repair or replace the defects of this vehicle.Review from Johan M

I purchased a Lexus last year on my actual birthday, the car was certified pre owned I was so excited that I ignore the red flags like the car not being fully detailed or the tire air being low on all 4 (not very well inspected as the advertise on their certified pre owned program). I purchased the extended warranty because they said itd cover any type of break down as well as hotel and car rental expenses.A little over ONE MONTH my husband and I were going to surprise our son with a trip to ***********, we did not make it three hours away from home before the car decided to break down in the middle of the high way. It started blinking, making beeping sounds and anytime my husband slowed down the car would keep that speed and not pick up speed until we got off and as soon as the car stopped it wouldnt turn on. It was the most scary thing I have experienced since I had our 6 year old with us and with were stranded right outside a busy highway and we were basically blocking traffic. When Lexus came to pick up the car, we had to **** because they wouldnt let us ride on the tow truck since we had our 6 year old with us. That was the first expense that was supposed to be covered.Once we got to the dealer they kept us there for almost 6 hours until they said wed have to get a rental to continue our trip since they couldnt figure out what was wrong, we lost a full day of activities at ******. And we had to get an extra night to be able to pick up the car on our way back. Our total extra expenses came to $700 and when I summited the claim to Lexus they never got back to me, so I had to reach out constantly until they said they wouldnt cover it because it was a battery issue. A battery issue on a hybrid car was not covered under their warranty. They just covered the battery cost but left me with the $700 bill. Horrible experience. Wouldnt recommend anyone to buy a Lexus. Beautiful cars but horrible customer service.
