I started dealing with RSP4 (******* *******) at the beginning of February when he started working on repairs at my house from after the Hurricane. I have paid him $68,716.56 to date for repairs on my home and they are still not complete. The total quote he gave me for my house repairs was $64,674. On September 9th, I gave his associate a check for $25,500 before I went out of town with the understanding that they would be getting all the supplies needed on the invoice to work on those items once I returned. There are still multiple items on that list that are not completed. After that check was paid, I was told me balance for the remaining work would be $19,660. Since that transaction, I have paid $20,350 to have work still not completed. There were multiple instances where I was told work would be complete on certain days and it was not be done. When I would contact ******* to get a status update, he would have no idea if people showed up to the property or not. The person he had completing the floor tile work and concrete leveling left the floors completely uneven with spotty work around the walls. The painter he had subcontracted out left the walls looking horrendous with every imperfection showing due to no proper priming or sanding. I have asked ******* on multiple occasions to come look at the work that is being done in his company's name and he has yet to come. The invoice I paid for $25,500 has work that is still not completed and multiple invoices paid have duplicate line items on them for the same work. I have been asking ******* for months to break down the invoice so we can know what is paid for what and he will not. I have asked for his contractor license and have still not received it. I looked it up on Louisiana Licensing Board Website and he does not have a contractor license in the state. I am asking for a refund for the duplicate payments and the uncompleted work and he will not issue a refund. He refuses to speak to me on the phone to resolve.

Customer did not pay for work that was done. Customer had a family member come in and look at the paint job. The family member said we should have used flat paint without primer. We explained to the family member that that was the incorrect way due to new drywall being installed. We used semi - gloss on request of the customer. After the job was completed to refused to pay based on the recommendation of the family member. Currently we have not resolved the issue through court but are still trying to come to mediation.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.

first of all, I submitted this complaint on December 17. 2021 and today is September 7, 2022 and this is the first bit of communication I have received from him since December. Secondly, the family member mentioned has experience in the field and I also had third party contractors look at the work in question. I did NOT tell them to use semi-gloss paint so that is a lie. I paid over $14,000 for work that was either not completed, completed poorly or I was double charged for the same thing. I tried multiple times to have conversations with him about these charges and to try to come to a resolution and it’s been almost 9 months since our last communication. He refused to come to the property to look at the work in question and instead just refused to answer any phone calls or text messages concerning the situation. He is not licensed to work in the state and others that have used him after the hurricane have had similar issues.

I am honestly shocked this is coming 9 months after I tried to find resolution.

      Regards,
